Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Yahoo! Just got an e-mail for my account. letting me know I now have the correct plan on my account... They also gave me a credit for the bill that was showing up for the line I had canceled.
This was approx 44 hours after adding the 2nd line after canceling the first line and signing up with a new phone. The "my account" is buggy though, when you first login it shows the proper plan title, but when you click the + it shows the old plan details. I'm assuming this will clear up overnight... their my account interface is REALLY bad. Can't complain too much about free though! Smilie especially when I get about 100 Mbps by my house!

Let me recap how I did it with 2 numbers from 2 carriers
1. Tello (Sprint MVNO)
2. New Tmobile prepaid

---------------------------------------------------------
Line 1 Samsung s8 with my own Sprint SIM
Tel number ported from Tello -> ATT ->Sprint
Total Sim/Refill Cost: $12-$13

Order 1 ATT gophone SIM port number from Tello to ATT and refill $10
(I refill so I can get the account number, not sure there other way around it)

6/19 Call 1-866-782-8777 because credit check failed online and need to use my own SIM
Setup account in 1 hour with Telereps with the correct plan.
Provide the ATT prepaid number, ATT account # (call ATT to get it), ATT Pin. SIM ICCID, S8 IMEI

Line 1 the Bill is $4.15 New York Area

---------------------------------------------------------
Line 2 iPhone 6S with my own Sprint SIM
Tel Number T-mobile (new#) -> Sprint
Total Sim/Refill Cost: $0.99

I got a spare T-mobile prepaid SIM I bought long time ago, unable to activate this Tmobile SIM online,
so call to activate the SIM with a new number with the $3 plan.
BS not want to give out CC number on the phone to avoid refill. Total cost $0.99 for Tmobile SIM

The iPhone was on Tello so need to take it off Tello account and ask reddit guy LiterallyUnlimited to fix it

6/22 Call Telereps to add a line port the new Tmobile number to Sprint
The process takes less than 30 min to add line.

Provide the Tmobile prepaid number, Tmobile account # (1-NNN-NNN-NNNN N is phone number), Tmobile Pin. SIM ICCID, IPhone IMEI

Line 2 cost not yet know, should be the same as Line 1

So that's all let me know if have any question and if you are interested to get a Sprint referral PM me.

No sir, I didn't get Free Plan yet, My first Rep made mistake of making account/account number when ordering SIM. So Second Rep when activating my SIM Card couldn't add Free Plan but she said it is eligible. It is still showing 2GB - 40$/Month plan with Autopay .. 45$ Normally. I just completed port in last night. She said she added temporary Plan so I can use it for now.

I called TeleReps again this morning and they said Sprint knows and supervisor is trying to do it, but I might get first bill of 45$ but they will take care of it or something. I might be screwed :-(

Atleast I have call recording of them and paying with Discover so it should help me putting a charge back. If I had done all online myself without TeleReps, it wouldn't have happened :-(
I think you should be ok... Just got mine fixed 7 days after original order and 44 hours after making 2nd order...got an email detailing the fixes they did... They even fixed the line I cancelled... :-) and gave me a credit back for the charges that were on the account... I think the "back office" is real. Now I just need to un-cancel the line I had cancelled and swap the device on it... Smilie We'll see how that goes!

Thanks. Did the sprint phone associated with the sprint number that was ported to another carrier become a non sprint phone and become eligible for this promo?
Yes because once you port to a different carrier it is no longer sprint phone number.

Anyone on the wrong plan successful at getting on the right plan, how'd you do it?

Wait 3-5 days?
Port-out, then re-port back in? Was the re-port on the phone or online? How long after porting out did you port back in?
Were you able to use the same SIM card?
Were you able to use the same BYOD that was originally on the wrong Sprint plan?
I just did, Just got my email that mine is finally fixed... 44 hours after adding the 2nd line, I opened 2nd line after canceling the first line (I had sold phone too) and re-opening another line, which had the same problem. I think once you get messed up and you are in their system with the wrong plan, the back office is indeed the only one who can fix as you are no longer a new customer. I think they will fix it for you without having to port out and back in... I'd give them atleast 48-72 hrs... I believe in the "back office" now! :-)

Sweet! This is great to hear for those sticking it out. Can I ask, did you have to speak to a supervisor or did you get this resolved via agents in the outsourced center?

Just the outsourced center... I did have a chat yesterday with the "regular" cs, but all they did was say to wait again and reassured me that the "back office" is real. Smilie They told me that since this is a "web only" deal the back office is the only one who can change this plan on your account. Even though I did everything over the phone I believe I am good to go now even though their "my account' portal is super flaky...

Quick question: does discover allow charge backs for cell service/plans? I have Chase and they specified that this is not something their Purchase Protection covers. They suck sometimes. lol

That said, it looks like folks are getting their incorrect plans in less than 3 biz days, so you should be ok. Can you keep us updated? I might try again on Monday.

I had activated one line under this promotion. My credit was approved for 5 lines.

Now, if I want to add a second line (port in a number and BYOD) later on in Aug-2017, will I be able to get same promotion free for a year?

I asked a rep and she said yes. I can add lines under this promo, as I have already got this plan and is valid till 31-Jul2018. But I am not sure if the CSR knows it well.

Is this offer ending on 30-Jun-2017, or can we get additional lines next month as well?

I have 2 Verizon grandfathered unlimited lines I would like to port to Sprint with this promo. They are under contract until 8/10/17. Any suggestions on how to time things or make the switch to minimize ETFs? At this time I think my ETF would be $140 per line.

Hello,

Yes, supposedly you can add lines to your free plan til July 31, 2018. However, it is also possible that Telesales put your other line on a different plan. Wink

I do not need second line till Sept 2017, but because I am worry for all the hassle, I decided to add extra line yesterday. Currently, most telesales are very familiar with this free plan because of high demand.

That's awesome! Yeah, I was going to stick it out since my AT&T prepaid sim isn't here yet. If I don't get changed to the free plan, I'll port either or MintSim or go back to Straight Talk.

I also saw an article where if you buy a new or refurbished iPhone directly from Apple in-store by 7/31, the phone would be unlocked and you can get Virgin's $1/yr plan.

I feel like switching to Sprint is like doing an internship for a year. Gotta pay your dues for the possible benefits. LMAO

Yes, I received that while waiting for Sprint to call me back. They didn't, but I just called back into Telesales (the number at the top of the screen when the website gave me the verification error earlier in the process).
I ended up calling 866-782-8777 the number listed on paper part of SIM activation Kit/package. They could not locate my info when I ordered one year of free service SIM kit. It took about one hour over the phone to go through credit check (yes, one more time), account setup and ported in etc. The CSP was very helpful but trying to sell other paid service/product too....
