Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

For those of you that ported your number from google voice, how long did the port take? It has been half a day now and it's still not ported for me.

Opened one line, approved for 4 more. A bit confused. Can I just request additional lines to get in on the free offer or do i need to repeat the same process (imei #, transfer line etc) for the year of free service to apply to the other lines?
My understanding is you have to port in from the other Carriers to use you other 4 lines.

My IMEI and number passes online eligibility test but rep tells me she can't activate the SIM. this is Samsung S7 edge. can it be that the online eligibility checker isn't working right or is rep wrong? I had to deal with phone rep because got error when running credit check.

Maybe try a different SIM card? You can get one from BB or Sprint store.

The port in from Verizon is almost instant. Using the s8 unlocked from the Samsung deal now. Everything also went without any issues online for me. Now I will just enjoy the free service (almost free since the tax and the $90 termination I decided to pay) until the year is up then it is back to Verizon. Thanks sprint for the free phone essentially.

thanks.. you are always helpful and full mode of sharing your knowledge.....
i know you told me multiple times to get imei added in database... but everytime i ask rep they ask me what SKU, model name, model number of phone... i think i gave them wrong information and they created two clickIT tickets for this... how to get SKU of a phone like s7 and s7e?
When I did it for my wife's account, they never asked for SKU of the phone, just phone model and IMEI. Make sure you tell them it's the US unlocked version (i.e., special edition or open market in Sprint's book). Don't mention anything about Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, or flashing firmware; even if it's a Verizon unlocked, AT&T unlocked, or T-Mobile unlocked. Adding the IMEI into the Sprint database so that it can be paired with a Sprint SIM and be activated on the Sprint network is also called "re-SKU" by the Sprint tech.

Check your SIM, S7E needs either SIM with part number SIMOLW416C or SIMOLW506C to pair with before it can be activated. I would get the SIMOLW506C because it is universal and supposedly can be used in all Sprint devices. Good luck Big Grin

No you need compatible phone from other carrier, Sprint has a database of phone IMEI sold by them and their MVNO, so buything tose wont get you anyywhere

I will try to read the few thousand posts to find the answer. But maybe someone can help me out.

on Verizon with my s7 edge, sprint says it wont work. Do I have to buy another phone? And whats a good equivalent that's on sale right now that would work?

Has anyone successfully done this with AT&T iPhone SE? My friend is with AT&T, and when he tries to verify eligibility, it shows up as incompatible.
I tried it in the middle of issues (due to porting and phone swap), got interesting results.
I was aware that SE ( ATT model A1662 ) has CDMA radio but not all sprint bands , that's the reason it will not pass the Sprint phone validation.
After activating a line I asked the customer care rep to swap, she did. I thought the system will say the phone is not compatible, but she confirmed its done. Then, I inserted the sim into my Iphone SE ( ATT model). I got signal and the Sprint name in the signal bar. I did a test call and it wen through. Issue started after the cust care rep asked me to update the iphone se with codes like - ##update#. Then I lost signal and did not work later.
I continued to have issues with my other number (iphone 7)and and had to visit the store. They said I had sim from another number and they took it inside the store and fixed my iphone 7 issue.
My SE is still saying invalid SIM. I got new sim from store which I plan to activate again in SE.

This is the first time I am trying CDMA service. In GSM phones to change the phone we just take the sim and put it in the phone we want. Is it the same process for CDMA too?

No, you would better to keep the SIM card linked to the device in CDMA world.

Is anyone clear on 120 days vs. 10/1/17 for phone upgrades? 120 days from now is 10/22/17. Which is it?
