Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Is anyone clear on 120 days vs. 10/1/17 for phone upgrades? 120 days from now is 10/22/17. Which is it?
It's 10/1 but why upgrade? Buy the phone you want and swap it in. Most here can do it with an online chat rep or on your account page.

I'm thinking for the new iPhone, might be nice to have it on installments. Maybe someone will have "pay off your phone" promos.

I tried it in the middle of issues (due to porting and phone swap), got interesting results.
I was aware that SE ( ATT model A1662 ) has CDMA radio but not all sprint bands , that's the reason it will not pass the Sprint phone validation.
After activating a line I asked the customer care rep to swap, she did. I thought the system will say the phone is not compatible, but she confirmed its done. Then, I inserted the sim into my Iphone SE ( ATT model). I got signal and the Sprint name in the signal bar. I did a test call and it wen through. Issue started after the cust care rep asked me to update the iphone se with codes like - ##update#. Then I lost signal and did not work later.
I continued to have issues with my other number (iphone 7)and and had to visit the store. They said I had sim from another number and they took it inside the store and fixed my iphone 7 issue.
My SE is still saying invalid SIM. I got new sim from store which I plan to activate again in SE.

This is the first time I am trying CDMA service. In GSM phones to change the phone we just take the sim and put it in the phone we want. Is it the same process for CDMA too?
You said you already had a line activated. Did you do that with a different phone and then tried SE? Or, did you just call the rep to port in your number using your SE's IMEI and a sim card info?

Yes, I had already activated the number using a iphone 7+ (A1661). I bought the phone few months back and gave it to a family member who stays in another state. I had the box to check the IMEI.

Anyone have any idea whether you can sign up for the credit union cash reward when your account has this promo? If the worst that'll happen is a denial, it'd be worth trying. Just don't want to mess anything up.
Does anyone know the answer to this? Can sign up for the credit union reward mess up anything?

Also, same question for the aa advantage. Can sign up for aa advantage influence anything? On the other hand, for people who don't have aa advantage account, do you just sign up for an account? Is there any referral or bonus for sign up a new aa advantage account?

I will try to read the few thousand posts to find the answer. But maybe someone can help me out.

on Verizon with my s7 edge, sprint says it wont work. Do I have to buy another phone? And whats a good equivalent that's on sale right now that would work?
It will work. Just flash the 935u firmware and it will have all the bands, all s7 edge hardware is the same.

Iphone SE ATT model ( A1662 ) failed for me on the initial phone verification page.

Are the IMEIs entered tired to the sim card? I ordered sims yesterday but might get a new Verizon iPhone today (iPhone 6). Will this be a problem activating when the sim cards come?

Yes, it's tied if you order online. I did everything online and during activation, IMEI is attached to the phone number, all I had to do was input the SIM card iccid.
Might be different if you called.

This is not true. If you flash the Sprint Firmware it will unlock the bands, but Sprint will not activate it. It must be the unlocked version of the S7 edge.

No you need compatible phone from other carrier, Sprint has a database of phone IMEI sold by them and their MVNO, so buything tose wont get you anyywhere
This isn't true, I believe. My phone is a Sprint iPhone 6 which I bought used a year ago to use on T-Mobile. Porting it back over to Sprint for this promotion worked perfectly. However, what is true is that you probably can't bring a Note 4, because that's not one of the listed compatible phones.

Some of the comments here related to android phones reflect the current state with some non-apple phones - documentation of phone model # 's and its capabilities.
Apple iPhone's have transparent process when it comes to Model # and the phone capabilities. There are no 3 to 4 variants of the same model number(at least not from iphone 5s).
Its hard to suggest to someone a specific non-apple model and be sure about its capabilities regardless where they buy or use. Hope Apple keeps offering the phones with CDMA and GSM radios.

well that stupid because the hardware is compatible. I don't use sprint, but if its like Verizon, if you pop in an existing sim card, even if they won't activate it brand new it will still work.
