Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

On a Nexus phone it's *#*#72786#*#* (and in some cases might need to turn off WiFi first, but that depends).

My experience was that I could only use my active Verizon iPhone 7 with the provided sprint sim. Once I ported and activated, I even tried to move the SIM to another iPhone and it said "SIM is locked". The year of service is great, but don't expect much customer service (in person or by phone). My bill comes out to $3,78 a month with tax.

Did anyone successfully activate with your own SIM card on another compatible phone? I received the SIM card kit, however I found a used Sprint micro SIM card so I decided to use this used SIM card.
On activatenow website I input the used SIM's ICCID, my phone number which would be ported, my email address and other information, activation succeeded and I received confirmation email as well as PIN code.
Then I inserted it into a Nexus 6 (not the iPhone 7 Plus I initially used to check eligiblity), a SprintDM application was trying to configuring something but it finally failed after 5 retries. Now it has been more than 24 hours, I still cannot make any calls although my Nexus 6 shows signal bars of Sprint. No matter what number I dialed, I always get error message say the number or code dialed is not correct.

Must I use the SIM card I received in company with the phone I used for eligiblity checking to get account / number ported and activated?
Yes, you can use your own Sprint SIM; and yes, you can switch/change phone. I have mentioned this a few times. Log into your Sprint account, look for your device/phone info and make sure the Nexus 6 IMEI is paired correctly with your SIM ICCID. If they are wrong, just correct them yourself or ask a Sprint rep to correct them for you. You must always pair the phone IMEI with the SIM ICCID on your account online before you can activate/use the phone on Sprint network if you want to change the phone or the SIM.

The Nexus 6 uses nano SIM (not micro SIM). You would need the Sprint SIM with part number SIMGLW446C or SIMOLW506C. Good luck.

Nah, I bought a SIM while ago for $1 "just in case" some promo happens in the future. Activated just fine. Trying to find a cheap SIM now as well.

I had a Moto G4 on ringplus that was ported to Ting. I deactivated it on ting 3 days ago. Still says ineligible when I run the check.PM'ed the guy on Reddit, no response yet. Anything else I can do?
Call Sprint. They will setup a ticket with their tech department to release your phone. Wait 24h and it will be eligible. I had exact same situation coming from RingPlus.

On the side note, use the same SIM card you had with RingPlus to save yourself few bucks Smilie

What does delete do? Does it turn off the MVNO flag on SPCS or any other flag that causes the device to be ineligible on Sprint postpaid?
I can confirm the "delete" part. I was using Google Pixel on RingPlus which got moved to Ting during the RingPlus shutdown. I ported the number away from Ting to H2O

I thought since the phone number has been ported away, the phone would have been released. However, when I initially checked the Google Pixel MEID on Spring MEID checker, it came as phone not eligible. Then I thought of checking again on Ting. Sure enough, the devices were still listed under my account - with two options - delete and activate. I deleted the device from the Ting account. When I checked the phone again on Sprint free offer page, the phone passed this time. And now I have the phone on this plan now. For the last few years I have not paid less than $5 per year. Of course, I have spent a lot on the phones thoughSmilie

It depends how old your old SIM card. I had tried activating using a 3 year old SIM card with Republic Wireless. The 3 year old SIM card was not compatible for activation. A new SIM card from Republic Wireless worked perfectly.

Wiki in this post mentioned ticket sometimes not working. Are you able to found device became eligible after 24 hrs or you called again after?

Yes I had a phone and sim that was on Ting as of a week ago when I removed it from the Ting account. I was able to use both.
