Do you think they will let you switch to a phone not on the list after you get the promotion? I know that they will likely let you switch to a phone that is on the list (placeholder situation). I'm wondering if I can open a line with a less expensive android and then switch to a S7 or S8 in a few weeks.

If person refers you then it will take you to the one page that page will ask that if you are a new customer then enter referrer and referee's info. you enter our info and then your info and you are set to go.

In my case the online account showed my free plan right away after activation. I activated on the phone.

GV account number is GV phone number..don't forget to unlock for $3 and assign voicemail pin because it is used for account pin.

my gf activated calling that # w/o any issues. the reps were aware of this promotion and we activated using the sim card we already had.

Download the app called "Change APN" then hit the dots in the top-right corner, and reset APN settings. After rebooting your phone, you should now have LTE data.
