Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I was able to port successfully out of Google Voice today - the Sprint rep I got was pretty efficient - did ask if I wanted insurance which I politely declined, and she did not insist after that. She also waived the activation fee. I was then transferred to another rep for porting - and he told me there was a "conflict" that would automatically resolve within 30 minutes to an hour, and to call back after that. I waited an hour and called back, and the next rep confirmed the conflict was resolved and was able to activate the phone. Told me to restart the phone if I didn't see any change after 10 minutes. I restarted the phone and saw it was activating on Sprint's network - got data available immediately, but outbound calls don't seem to work yet.
Did anyone else have this issue? I'm using a new Samsung Galaxy S8+. I was able to receive a call and send texts, but when I try to dial out, I get an immediate "Dialing", then "Call ended" message at top, and immediately after that, "Dialing", and it dials the number again, but I get an automated voice message that sounds like the same female voice I would hear in Google Voice saying "We could not complete your call, please try again". Not sure if this means that the porting isn't fully completed, as the phone seems to try to route through google voice after initially failing on the sprint network. Has anyone who ported from Google voice had this issue? Thanks in advance.

Does porting out of ting work?
I ported out from Ting a few days ago. I've been signed up for this sprint deal with the same number and the device that I had with Ting.

Actually, never mind, I figured out the problem - I previously had google voice enabled on it with the number I ported, and it seems the phone was still trying to route through Google Voice even though I already ported the number away. Once I went into my google settings and removed the account, I placed another call, and it said the google voice account previously used for calling was removed, and asked me to confirm if I wanted to use the carrier's number instead. Once I confirmed, the phone call went through.

I did a few speed tests using the speedtest app - I got as high as 24Mbps down and 10Mbps up... not bad! This is in Queens, NYC
Free phone service for a year - good luck everyone!

The device Nexus 6 they say is active with Sprint MVNO. It's active on ting.

The terms state at any time before 7/31/18 but I added 5 lines at once and before 6/30/17 just to be safe.

We're more than happy to help you port out if you want. It's the porting in that causes me to pause and guess if Sprint will honor the deal coming from an entity that uses the Sprint network for some things.

I tried plugging in the ESN for my old (Sprint!) Nexus 5 and it wouldn't work. According to the OP only Verizon Nexus 5s work?
It's likely your Nexus 5 has the MVNO flag tripped to PLBL. Drop me a message on Reddit (/u/LiterallyUnlimited) and I'll see if I can flip it back. Make sure it's not active on Sprint or any Sprint MVNO before you do.

pkcheng55 : Were you able to change the plan showing in your my sprint account. I am in the same boat. I been talking to everyone for the past 5-6 days. No outcome.
Every time they say in 24 hrs we will have it moved to the right plan. Now I even received a bill for usage saying due Jul 14 on that stupid temp plan. So frustrating....
At this point , I think I will switch back to my old provider....such a waste of time dealing with Sprint. let me know if you or anyone had luck changing the plan.
Yes on my sprint account is shows up as the unlimited byod. On the my sprint app it hasn't updated it shows the 2 gb plan with a balance due. My guess is that they have not updated that yet. I received a email from sprint verifying that I had the unlimited plan try to see if then can do that for you.

I'm having the same issue but my rep didnt tell me to call back. So will the porting issue fix by itself or I must call back to complete the porting process?

Specifically which issue are you having? can you receive calls? can you text? Check my later reply to my own comment for how I fixed it.

So I got service on my iPhone 6 originally with AT&T. However I can't get 4g service although it should be available and my phone should be able to get it as far as I can tell. Any ideas? Otherwise data works fine just slow

My issue was porting like you had. Nevermind so my account just updated itself after 30min and now porting is complete. Thanks anyway.
