Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Most people don't want to pay for the sim card online if they have sim card available to them. May I ask why you ordered online instead of calling them and activating with the sim card you have in hand from the get-go
Because the online system did not let me bypass the sim purchase and I intend to use the sim that will be shipped for a second line

I just signed up over the phone because it gave me an error online through the promo page and my plan online shows: $45 2GB Plan ($40 w/AP)

I called back and the rep kept saying not to worry, it's a temporary plan and will get adjusted. I read that someone else had this show up for them in an earlier post. And some folks are getting charged full price. Wiki says it should say something else if successfully done.

I then called the 866-782-8777 and the rep looked at my account and said I was on a $45 plan. I told her about the promo. 45 minutes later, she says my account isn't eligible for the promotion since I didn't sign up online (?!). I hung up.

I then tried chatting online with them to fix it. Spent 30 mins on chat verifying my account, got transferred to another agent who verified my account, and then they told me to call 800-777-4681.

I'm 3 hours into it and stuck. For those of you who successfully got this plan by applying over the phone, do you also see this $45 2GB "temporary" plan or what's in the wiki? How do you know you successfully got the plan?
Was your plan ever switched? I have been told by several reps that my plan is set to be switched, but it has not happened yet. Been waiting and calling for 5 days.

I talked to one Rep and he submitted ticket for me on high priority to Change rom 45$/2 GB Plan to free plan.

However, I still have to pay 45$ for first month as bill has been generated for it already.

Got the sim from sprint just now, activation online went through and got the confirmation email. Inserted the SIM after few mins to my nexus 6 and try to dial, get the message that the phone is not activated. Can see only the tower symbol, no LTE. Tried updating PRL a few times, didnt help. So may be time for me to call them which i tried to avoid Smilie. Will the connection not be activated until the port is not complete?

Just to put it out there my textnow number showed up as eligible.
If you tried to use that number and an eligible device, won't it get snagged when they try to port it? Or can a TextNow number be ported to Sprint?

All nexus phones are supposed to be compatible so there must be some fine print catches.
I tried plugging in the ESN for my old (Sprint!) Nexus 5 and it wouldn't work. According to the OP only Verizon Nexus 5s work?

I just dealt with the the number in the wiki. I called every day made them put a ticket and escalated to the manager. One thing is make sure they put notes on your account and have them put a ticket to there manager. I called sprint's regular customer service number and they had no idea what was going on or what to do.
pkcheng55 : Were you able to change the plan showing in your my sprint account. I am in the same boat. I been talking to everyone for the past 5-6 days. No outcome.
Every time they say in 24 hrs we will have it moved to the right plan. Now I even received a bill for usage saying due Jul 14 on that stupid temp plan. So frustrating....
At this point , I think I will switch back to my old provider....such a waste of time dealing with Sprint. let me know if you or anyone had luck changing the plan.

Does a brand new google fi sim work or need to get a new sprint sim? Can anyone confirm if porting from cricket/ting works?

Thanks in advance!
