Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

What you posted was confusing. Thought you were trying to buy a phone from sprint and get this deal. Wink

What a frickin cluster.

Port process said successful, but first phone would not activate.

Couldn't setup mysprint account because it wouldn't recognize phone number.

Noticed that the Web form wasn't showing the last IMEI digit on BOTH phone #s I entered after the fact. WTF?! What's the chance I happened to make an error not entering the last digit of both?

Called Sprint, got transferred to (2) separate phone numbers. Said I needed to get an account setup to resolve activation. Went through the process, had to have ANOTHER credit check, got transferred to credit dept,. Was told I have to GO IN STORE to complete the process. What the goddamn fuk!

Waste of effin time and effort, a hard credit pull and $18. I'll also won't be shocked if my old service ends up getting cut off on the first phone due to the port request.

I fully expect them to try to auto debit my CC in the future too and I'll have to spend another hour on the phone to try to resolve that. I am seriously pissed off right now.

Sprint are effin jackholes.

Great, sprint said I was eligible. Ordered a new phone, went to sign up and made it the page to order a sim and now sprint says im not eligible and the promo is only for new users..

I left sprint about 3 months ago. Is there any fine print about what is a new user?
No, Sprint didn't say you were eligible, it said your phone was.

This worked for me...For any of you looking for an easy way to port out try messaging the seller on this ebay listing http://www.ebay.com/itm/T-Mobile-Micro-Sim-UNACTIVATED-4G-LTE-REPLACEMENT-Sim-CARD/201884921247?ssPa... [ebay.com] and tell them you want the SIM card number emailed to you. Total cost for me via Best Offer was $3. Once you have the SIM card number do the following:

-call tmbile prepaid customer service number (# is in the package)
-tell them you dont have prepaid activation number but you have a brand new sim card and would like to sign up for tmobile prepaid.
-tell them you want the $3 a month plan and will fund it later (you don't need to fund it).
-the rep will then give you a phone number and ask you to set up a PIN.

-give sprint your tmobile # 1xxx-xxx-xxxx and the PIN.
-the end.

I've read some horror stories in this thread about people having to wait 3-5 days to port in from Google Voice. My number from T-mobile ported over almost instantly.

Just left sprint for Verizon... Their network is absolute crap outside large cities. Was with them for over 12 years and finally had enough.

Sorry for the last minute panic, but I need to port out a Ting (CDMA) number as soon as possible to another MVNO before I port it in again to Sprint to take advantage of this offer by the 30th. Other than the Google Voice method (which requires me to pay the port in fee), what the cheapest and quickest way to port out from Ting (CDMA)?

Successfully port-out from Ting to Sprint.

Brought ATT SIM and $10 recharge card from walmart. (Total: $20.XX. My friend took T-Mobile and the OOP is same).
Took Ting account info and used while Port-in to ATT. (Selected $2 per day plan)
While port-in to Sprint, i am getting "device ineligible error". Tried checking with CSR but i fixed it my self.

I used my iphone 6S. on Rngplus and also on Ting. Looks like my device is still locked with ringplus or Ting. I login to Ringplus and ting and cancelled both accounts. Wait for 30mins and i saw device eligible message.
Finally ported from ATT to sprint and selected autopay.
(I used the same sim which i used for r+ and Ting)

Thanks OP and SD!

If my number does not port but June 30 will I still be eligible for the promo 1 year service?
Sprint chat rep told me promo has been extended thru July 30 See below:

Jessica: Hi, I'm a Sprint sales specialist. Would you like any help today?
You: Hello: I ordered my sim card yesterday for the 1 yr free promo which ends on 6/30. I'll receive the sim card today, but do I have to activate SIM and port my # over before 6/30 to qualify, or am I all set to activate a few days/weeks from now
You: ?
Jessica: I will be happy to help you.
Jessica: Please give me a moment!
You: ok
Jessica: Please don't worry.
You: just wondering how long I have to activate phone/sim and still keep promo
Jessica: Sprint has extended this offer till 30th July.
Jessica: The promo is still going on.
You: okay, so I have to activate my phone by July 30?
Jessica: Yes, you can activate your phone by July.
Jessica: Please do not cancel service with your current provider until you've completed this switch. If you deactivate your phone number, you won't be able to transfer it to Sprint.
Jessica: Continue to use your current phone until your Sprint phone is fully activated. Service to your old phone will be automatically canceled when your number is transferred to us.
You: Okay, cool.
You: So I have until July 30th to port my #, correct?
Jessica: Yes you have time to port your number till 30th july.
Jessica: May I assist with any additional questions today?
You: Great, thanks, that was it. Appreciate it. Have a nice day.

Thanks. Would your method work if I needed to port in a Ting CDMA number to T-Mobile prepaid? Also, doesn't Sprint ask for the account number and PIN for the T-Mobile number when you try to port-in?
