Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Thanks. Would your method work if I needed to port in a Ting CDMA number to T-Mobile prepaid? Also, doesn't Sprint ask for the account number and PIN for the T-Mobile number when you try to port-in?
Your T-Mobile account number is your phone number with a 1 in front of it # 1xxx-xxx-xxxx. I have no clue if it will work for Ting

I havent been a sprint customer in 3 months, cant find any fine print about what is a new customer....so I should be eligible.

After speaking with sprint it seems like an airwave was still keeping my account active. on hold now, hope they can figure something out..

The s8 uses a special sim. For iPhone you need to use the sim made for iPhone or the one from BYOD kit

Sprint chat rep told me promo has been extended thru July 30 See below:

Jessica: Hi, I'm a Sprint sales specialist. Would you like any help today?
You: Hello: I ordered my sim card yesterday for the 1 yr free promo which ends on 6/30. I'll receive the sim card today, but do I have to activate SIM and port my # over before 6/30 to qualify, or am I all set to activate a few days/weeks from now
You: ?
Jessica: I will be happy to help you.
Jessica: Please give me a moment!
You: ok
Jessica: Please don't worry.
You: just wondering how long I have to activate phone/sim and still keep promo
Jessica: Sprint has extended this offer till 30th July.
Jessica: The promo is still going on.
You: okay, so I have to activate my phone by July 30?
Jessica: Yes, you can activate your phone by July.
Jessica: Please do not cancel service with your current provider until you've completed this switch. If you deactivate your phone number, you won't be able to transfer it to Sprint.
Jessica: Continue to use your current phone until your Sprint phone is fully activated. Service to your old phone will be automatically canceled when your number is transferred to us.
You: Okay, cool.
You: So I have until July 30th to port my #, correct?
Jessica: Yes you have time to port your number till 30th july.
Jessica: May I assist with any additional questions today?
You: Great, thanks, that was it. Appreciate it. Have a nice day.
So confirmed that this is through July 31st now?!!!!!

I was told that only the unlimited $90 plan and freedom plan are eligible for the AA promo. The bring your own phone unlimited plan is not eligible (is only eligible for 417 AA miles)

I hence signed up for the credit union membership discount (hope they don't deny the cash back)

Referral is independent and should be on top of the AA or credit union discount.

I Ported from Google Voice yesterday, took about 4 hours to Port, did everything online, make sure the name & address on your Google voice account matches the name & address you gave to Sprint. Also you have to unlock your Google voice number by paying $3 before you start the porting process, look in the wiki for the link to unlock your GV number.

You cannot just pop the SIM into any phone and hope it works. You have to pair the phone with the SIM first on your account before you can use it. Go to MySprint > Devices > Manage My Device and switch the phone and pair it with the SIM.
Thanks! What does sprint need to do this? I've been with att, verizon and tmobile and switching sim just works for any phones (assuming it's locked to the carrier or unlocked). Sprint looks so outdated in comparison. Why are they doing that?

I just talked to the online chat, they needed to add my phone to the database, which would take 72 hrs and I had to call back again to activate. If i lost my phone and needed a replacement, then i could be without a working phone for 72 hrs??

This would nice, but I wouldn't trust the information given by a random Sprint sales specialist. She probably thinks 6/30 is July 30..
You would think extension of offer would be 7/31, if at all.

sprint uses cdma, which uses the phone imei. the others are pure gsm, which uses only the sim card.
