Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

sprint uses cdma, which uses the phone imei. the others are pure gsm, which uses only the sim card.
Verizon is CDMA and LTE just like Sprint.

Got my porting done yesterday. I couldn't get past the credit check on the web signup process for some unknown reason, but called in, they sent me a SIM card, then I called back in and signed up with a salesperson that was familiar with the promo.

So far service seems decent enough. Weak signal inside my home and office, but that's fine since I have WiFi in both places. Did a speedtest (in Lansing, MI) and got 18.5/5.0 which isn't half bad.

I called the porting number to try to port from GV on unlocked Moto x-pure and the agent said I had to go to sprint store to intiate port. Anyone else with unlocked device told of something similar?

Called telesales and got line added without need to visit store. Took 13 min. Now waiting for GV to finish port

Also when rep read terms and conditions one of the points was you can't change phone number for 120 days.

I Ported from Google Voice yesterday, took about 4 hours to Port, did everything online, make sure the name & address on your Google voice account matches the name & address you gave to Sprint. Also you have to unlock your Google voice number by paying $3 before you start the porting process, look in the wiki for the link to unlock your GV number.
Where do you find the address info in google voice?

This worked for me...For any of you looking for an easy way to port out try messaging the seller on this ebay listing http://www.ebay.com/itm/T-Mobile-Micro-Sim-UNACTIVATED-4G-LTE-REPLACEMENT-Sim-CARD/201884921247?ssPa... [ebay.com] and tell them you want the SIM card number emailed to you. Total cost for me via Best Offer was $3. Once you have the SIM card number do the following:

-call tmbile prepaid customer service number (# is in the package)
-tell them you dont have prepaid activation number but you have a brand new sim card and would like to sign up for tmobile prepaid.
-tell them you want the $3 a month plan and will fund it later (you don't need to fund it).
-the rep will then give you a phone number and ask you to set up a PIN.

-give sprint your tmobile # 1xxx-xxx-xxxx and the PIN.
-the end.

I've read some horror stories in this thread about people having to wait 3-5 days to port in from Google Voice. My number from T-mobile ported over almost instantly.
yes porting from t mobile only takes a few minutes and they have phone reps to assist you in setting up your phone number and pin. last year i did this and i think i just paid the $3 pay as you go and i'll fund it later plan. but this time i don't know why but once i entered my credit card number to set up the $3 plan, it was asking for a minimum $10 transaction. nevertheless i did it, paid $10 for a t mobile sim card from amazon, $10 charge for my t mobile account...phone rep helped me all the way through...no more hassle sometimes waiting for days to port. $20=less grey hair and aggravation!

Do we blame it on cdma that adding imei to database takes up to 72 hrs? And I have to call back to activate?

Anyone encounter an issue when trying to activate the S8+ with the SIM Sprint provided? I bought the S8+ unlocked (US) from Samsung.com with their $200 trade-in on any good smartphone promo in mid-June. Got my SIM and called Sprint last night. They did the credit check, checked the phone numbers and IMEI numbers. And just before finishing, got stuck at the activation step. Sprint is saying that I need to go to a Best Buy store or Sprint store to get a special SIM for the S8+. The SIM I have is able to fit into my S8+ and its the SIM with branding of Boost, Virgin, and Sprint. I was surprised that the rep explained the SIM doesn't work for the S8+ so I'm concerned that this is just taking a ton of time to get the free 1-year service.

For those of you that did the SIM trick to get 4g on the Moto G4, what APN settings did you use for Sprint? When I tried to save the ones I entered it said something like "the user does not have permission to save..."

If you tell sprint you are porting from Google, they may not ask for the address.

But if they do, see bngguy's post here.

I just used my address for my port, but it hasn't been successful yet because it has been less than 24 hours.

Also, I found this via quick google search. Cant verify if it works:
