Keep in mind that some reps don't know what they are doing. I've had 2 reps who were helpful, but I had one rep who gave me all the wrong info. He even told me my phone was a paper weight because it was locked to RP when I was actually using it on AT&T. I got frustrated, so I hung up and called back. A new rep, on the spot, told me that my issue had been resolved already and my phone was good to go. You just can't trust everything that their reps say. If something doesn't add up, just hung up and talk to someone else.
This is how I did it.
1. Called the Sprint phone number in the wiki. They originally told me my phone was ineligible.
2.Next they sent me to a tech I was told the phone was ineligible because the phone was PLBL (third part MVNO) Sprint said they had no way to change the phone to SPSC to work on the Sprint network. They said it would require flashing the phone.
3. I called Ting the last carrier the phone was registered to and asked them to switch the designation from PLBL to SPSC. This was completed in 30 seconds. No flashing required.
4. I called back Sprint and again asked them to activate the phone. Again they first told me the phone was ineligible. I told the rep to ask a supervisor too override it. This time when they checked they said my phone was eligible.
5. They asked if I had a SIM Card. I gave them the ICCID number of the orignal ( 4 year old ) Sprint Sim the phone came with. This Worked! I did not have to buy a new sim.
6. Next i was registering my phone for the BYOD free 1 year account. I ported out my google voice number. Be certain to unlock it first. The account number is your phone number.
7. After getting off the phone I called the porting phone number in the wiki to complete the port. Bingo it was working, free service for 1 year.
8. This entire process was complete in about 2 hours and 30 minutes from initial call to having free service. Good Luck!
I tried removing online, but it's not working.
Any suggestions? Should i wait a bit or just give Sprint a call?

According to the post I've seen here, it can up to 7 days but they may be able to do it quicker. If no one has fixed it for you yet, call again and demand a supervisor first thing. They will do everything in their power to not forward you but a supervisor can issue a credit and get you taken care of (if they are not working on this already). Once they do, get an interaction number and save it in case it does not get fixed and you have to call back.
By the way, my first rep understood the plan but we got cut off right when things were about to get set up. She called back but I did not know since my phone died. I am sure I would have gotten on the right plan had she set it up
The second rep was able to set up my account, but mentioned putting it in like a temp plan until he can fix it However, I got put on the 90.00 plan and he even took my credit card number but did not add autopay (oddly he read the free plan terms and conditions). Plus, he left no notes no notes. So, I called back, asked right off the bat what plan does their system and notes show, and no one knew that I had the deal. Only the 90.00 pan. I had to close that account and waste a credit check. But it was worth not dealing with charges and wait to be credited.
Still, they can resolve this. And the fact that they have extended this deal means they will get to it eventually. You just have to stay on them and be persistent.
edit: i'm getting credit for $65 plan, but still paying taxes.
