not letting me use the same sim. also tried chat function and same thing. cant use same sim. Can i do the ESN swap at a sprint store. Want to make sure changing phone/sim wont get me out of this deal!
You never use the same sim in a different phone on Sprint. The sim can stay with the phone permanently as you move the phone to different Sprint .brands and mvnos. It is not like GSM.

no it won't work without calling or updating IMEI of new phone on your account via website or phone call. IMEI and SIM (ICCID) are associated into the sprint Database.

You would not do that ordinarily. Just swap phone1 sim1 to phone 2 sim2. Later you can switch back if you want. This is better anyway becuause different types of sim are needed for different phones often.

Would it change my plan if I did that? Also my SIM card would be compatible it's an identical iPhone..

Anybody else using sprint in Suffolk County, Long Island? The phone reception has been alright, but the LTE is absolutely brutal. Don't know if this is worth it, even if it's free
I've been using sprint mvnos for over a year, mostly in northwest Suffolk and in and around the city with no issues except when I'm at work in a large building in midtown. That's when I have some slight reception issues.

Also does the lock your unlocked phone to another network? If I decide to abandon sprint due to crappy coverage can I use my unlocked Verizon iPhone 6 on another provider?

I got message number or code you have dialed is incorrect.
For nexus 6

Dial *#*#72786#*#*

The above step does take a little bit of time (a few mniutes)

After that update PRL and profile

I am guessing you are indoors or where there is no good coverage. I ran into the same issue.

Go to a area or outdoors where you know your phone worked in the past and try the same reset codes and the PRL and profile update.

If all these dont work, these is a APN change app on the store. Install it and reset your values to default.

That will restore your data and in certain cases your phone connection.

I've heard when trying to update your profile and or prl, its best to do it while on wifi. This should help get your lte signal back.
