Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Phones are Galaxy S7 (unlocked version), Nexus 5 , LG tribute HD ... Used in ringplus and than is Twigby (when Twigby was offering free month of service for RP customer). After that , I cancelled service and ported to TMObile. All device show valid and free at ting and Twigby also confirmed they don't have it locked. But Sprint won't allow any of those device
That is because the phones are set with the PLBL lable which stands for Private Label. They need to be set to SPCS. If those phones were ever on Ringplus or on Ting , Ting will reset them to SPCS.

Chat up with Ting and give them your IMEI and they will designate the phone as SPCS and the very next min your phones can go onto Sprint. Once you explain your situation to ting, they will do it in a jiffy.

The phones will need to be on ringplus or on ting before. Only then can Ting set the flag for you.

Absolutely correct. I had my S8+ originally on Tello. Before it would show as eligible for this offer, I had to have the flag reset by LiterallyUnlimited (although he is now on vacation).

Did all that, but after a chat with tech support they opened a support ticket and within an hour it was working properly.
Glad it is working now what phone are you using?
It may help others.

iPhone 6S. It was an issue with Sprint, not my phone. I was able to receive texts from other Sprint users but not from other carriers.

My activation was a mess - had to go into the store to verify identity for credit check (I previous identity theft). Telesales then activated me on the "Freedom" $60 plan and noted my account that I need to be switched over to the BYOD Free 1-year service. They assured me after 2-3 billing cycles I will receive credits and be on the right account. Heavily skeptical of this....but they noted my account, so worst case I just get 3 months of free service.

Fingers crossed this actually works!!

Just FYI they have changed their official referral terms to list the BYOD as ineligible. Not sure what this means for everyone who did it before that nugget was added in. I'm guessing they are going to deny everyone's even though that wasn't in there before.
I was able to create a referral link anyway and referred my friend. Got an email from sprint that I made a referral. Let's see in a month if I get rewarded.

You figure if they change the terms that they should disable the referral program for numbers on the free plan.

You need to check the specs and see if your specific models support LTE bands 25, 26 and 41 and Voice bands BC0 and BC10. If not, they would not work properly anyway on Sprint.

G4 at least may be ok I think.

Check all devices in the Ting MEID checker and see what it says re activation on CDMA (not GSM). If it says no, it is no go.

I wonder if they will extend this offer. Need more time to think about it but today was supposed to be the end.

I am not sure if the LG Tribute HD is eligible for the promotion. I am guessing that the inelgible message you talk of is coming from the website.

The Tribute HD can be put on this plan , but it has to be done manually and by somebody who is not fully conversant with the rules of the promo. The website will not let you do it as the promo has a set of phones and the website is apparently enforcing it.

This info is from a person who works in sprint backend operations.

Try calling and see if it can be done. Dont tell them what the phone is , just give them the IMEI.

Alternatively, use a phone from the promo list and swap the phone afterwards.

Anyone in the NYC area with more info on the monthly taxes and fees? The wiki seems to suggest it all over the place, from $4 to $15. Not sure if it's worth it for my usage if it's around $10.

Ready move my lines from ATT, can some explain me how to maximize the referral. I just want to run the credit only one time and move all three, just do not want to have multiple hard inquiries.

thanks, I didn't see that in the wiki, more time to mull it over. This is some sort of epic deal but I'm still wondering if I need it. I only used a fraction of free R+ data so I'd feel obligated to use it if paying.
