Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Someone suggested to add it to a paid plan, pay it off then cancel the line. Then you can use it on the free plan.
So I can add it to paid plan in same account, and cancel it? Like if I add it with paid plan, it will not affect my free plan? Also, I have account approved this week for 5 lines and I just have two lines, If I buy one in the plan, will that be hard pull in credit or no pull as I already have account?

This unfortunately has not been a good experience for me. For some reason, Sprint is showing my phone as lost/stolen in their database, and no one can fix it. I bought my iPhone 6s brand new and unlocked from Apple almost 2 years ago. I use it with Tmobile right now with no problems until I've tried to switch.

I called Sprint last Tuesday and they said my phone was eligible (I gave them the IMEI number and my phone number) and I paid for a SIM to be sent. On Friday I tried to activate and the trouble started. The initial rep all but called me a liar about my phone not being lost/stolen, and when I asked how do I return the SIM I paid for, she said she didn't know. She said I should call Tmobile as they would have been the ones to report it lost/stolen. When I called them, they said if it was lost/stolen, you couldn't call us from the phone. So then I call Apple, and they say they show no issues, the phone showed as operating on Tmobile's network.

I contacted Sprint on twitter, they said someone will contact me who can help and I got a script reader with a thick accent who did not understand at all and kept telling me what I had to do to unlock my iPhone (which is already unlocked). So I got her supervisor who transferred me to a Sprint office in Oklahoma. This guy was nice and said I just needed to go into a store and they could help me, gave me his email address in case I had any problems.

So I went into the store, and they couldn't do anything, he said my phone showed it was compatible but the code it returned was for a lost/stolen phone. He checked the model number of my iPhone and said it was the same model they sell in the Sprint store. He called two other offices and they couldn't help, so he figured out a way to refund me for my SIM card and I have given up.

Nice job by Sprint marketing coming up with a program, horrible job by the technical people to deliver. I would never have chased this so hard if it wasn't such a good deal. Makes me wonder how many people will be like me, trying to become a Sprint customer, but turned off on Sprint forever due to their inability to deliver.

Can someone detail how the "add a line" SEs from Best Buy can work on this plan? I see they are suggested but no details on how to make it work. I have T-Mobile. I have 3 lines and have an old plan that is only $73 all inclusive so I don't want to lose it unless this deal is too good to pass up and with the SEs it might be... I have a new motto G 4 play (the $100 bh deal) to start.

Same here showing lost/stolen on my 6s purchased in Apple Store unlocked. Call the numbers for this promotion, and mentioned it is an error in there system. They will either create a ticket or do something on the back. Wait 24hrs and they resolved it.
FYI, My phone was on r+ and tello before porting.
Just be more patient, they will resolve it for you. Good thing about the sprint rep is no need to wait on the phone for 30 min before taking to someone.

Radioshack was flailing long before Sprint entered. I just don't see RS getting much out of this. But may be a major distraction short term. JMHO

Meanwhile the merger talks with comcast and charter will continue til august.

https://www.thestreet.com/story/14206190/1/don-t-expect-comcast-and-charter-to-take-sprint-off-softb... [thestreet.com]

Why this BYOD promo? Maybe just to counter subscriber losses and make a better showing in the short term. Again JMHO.

I had a problem with a phone showing as active on someone's sprint account on Wednesday, called Sprint and they didnt seem to be able to help but the last person said she would look into it further. I didnt believe her, especially when she didnt call me back like she said she would. But by late Thursday night the problem had been resolved, not sure who fixed it or if it happened on its own.

If it goes inactive it will work. Just swap another sprint phone on your line to "free" it up to use on the "free" plan.
