Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

That is true and it is no surprise because it is stated clearly right in the Sprint announcement. For this offer, you have to port in a number each time which means you have to call in to make those arrangements, and therefore cannot do it online yourself.

Applied over phone for 1st year free offer

1. Got free sprint sim card at apple store
2. Got account number and password for transfer from previous carrier and phone imei
3. Called number from wiki.
4. While on call you have to spell everything to rep: name, surname, address, ssn, imei, sim icc, email, security questions. Be prepared
5. Rep told me that I can add lines to this plan, just need to call them.
6. Rep offered phone protection - declined
7. Rep offered free android tablet with $15/per month per line - declined
8. Rep didn't set up autopay, however asked cc info. Had to setup it later on sprint website.
After around 5 min after call old sim showed no service, inserted sprint sim and everything worked, got lte.

Side question about bestbuy offer.
I tried to add iphone se 64gb for 4.99/month to bestbuy cart, selected add as new line. It showed my plan as LTE Provisioning w/Hotspot $0.00/mo.
Question is will it be added as new line to 1st year free plan or it will get some new plan?
I would go in to the store because they might change all of the lines over to a new plan. I did mine in the store and made it clear to the rep to not modify my existing lines and to put the SE on the $45 plan.

Did they shut off your data completely after 100mb? I would be roaming on Verizon a lot.
Yes after I hit the 100mb restriction 1 day into my vacation they totally shut off the data. Switching back to Verizon the second I get home. Free isn't worth it if I don't have a phone. Sprint is going bankrupt for sure.

What makes you think it failed the Fed Check? As far as I know Swappa does not even check the Fed check (which is a major flaw in Swappa). In general Swappa tests are useless for Sprint phones. Try it on the Ting checker.

Anyway if it shows as eligible on the Sprint BYOD offer eligibility checker, that is all you need. If it does not, I would have to know what the Ting checker says exactly to comment further.
Well, I was super careful before I buy the from the Craigslist guy. Swappa and other imei checks show it failed the FED check. But it passed the sprint Boyd. I was a little concern when I brought it. Btw, ting check shows it fail FED also.

Sprint often waives the FED check for port onto its own post-paid service only (but would not allow the device to be activated onto MVNO's such as Ting). (After all, the goal of the FED check is to require that the device spend more time on a Sprint entity, which is exactly what you are doing). If it chooses to waive it, by allowing it to be activated for this offer, so much the better for you and you are fine and you do not have to worry about it.

you were able to add a new plan?

I went to store and they said they couldn't

I chatted with sprint CSR after and they said I'm on super discounted plan and can't add any additional plans.

What is your account history? How many lines on your account? What plan(s)? Any financed device (installment) on your account?

Problem, I cannot transfer my Moto-E (2nd Gen),which is not on the list of this Sprint's BYOD Free 1Year promotion. The rep told me that Moto-E (2nd Gen) is not working on Sprint service...which I know R+, Ting & Tello are Sprint MVNO.

Also, the rep told me that this promotion offer is ONLY available through on-line (& phone). Sprint B&M store cannot help to get this promotion.

Could someone, who successfully did transfer his/her Moto-E (2nd Gen) or any phone (that is not on the Sprint list) to this promotion, pls share the info on "how to get it"?

Thanks a million...

Note:
I have 4 Moto-Es (2nd Gen) which is currently active on Tello service (previously on R+ service). I don't have extra money to buy 4 new iPhone SE. Frown

Any one lucky to get this free one year line activated on their NEXUS 5X? I am having so much trouble to get this on mine. I contacted Google, Sprint, LG as sprint says the device is not eligible for their promotion. Now LG says this is an international phone and I have to contact Google again. I am getting redirected every time in between these 3 stores.

Well if you are not getting the phone from Google Model LG-H790 and bought it off some random place (Ebay) you most lightly got the international version LG-H791 which missing some bands

People need to do better research before they purchase phone. When I got my Nexus 5X I make sure it is the H790 version and due to lack of availability of that version, I bought it at swappa for $200 and sold it 6 months later for $215 woot

Keep calling Sprint until you get someone who knows how to change the MVNO flag. Don't tell them that you want to sign up for the free plan until the MVNO flag is changed to SPCS because they will just tell you that it is not eligible for the free plan.

no.
If you are approved for more than three lines, you can add additional line(s) with any plan (either BYOP or buy device with installment, depending on your approved credit line/limit). Keep in mind that number of lines approved and credit line/limit approved are two different things as I have explained earlier in another post. You can have different plans on the same account. Since I don't know the number of lines you are approved for, it could be either the Sprint rep is clueless or you are approved for three lines only. As for credit line/limit, you can always do down payment if your credit line is not enough to cover the device you want to buy with installment payment.

Can some help me out out....here's my situation:
Currently have 2 grandfathered ULD Verizon plans and need to add a new line for my son. I just purchased the Iphone SE from the other SD Best Buy deal. The question is what's the best way to get the Iphone SE on this Sprint deal then switch it to Verizon later to get the $200 Bring back to Verizon promo?

Was advised by Sprint supervisor that the referrals and American Airlines sign up bonuses won't apply to these accounts.
