Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I tried to place sim order from promotion link but I got the message
"We're sorry, we're unable to confirm your credit online.
Please call the number above for assistance".
They said I had to call 866 number? Do I need to call now or try to get any unused sprint sim first then call to avoid trouble like what I understand from the wiki?
Or can I start over from promotion link again?
Thanks.
Get sim then call. Or call and have them send you some sims

Basically, you have to flash the unlocked T-Mobile S8+ with either the XAA firmware (which is from the US unlocked S8+) or the SPR firmware (which is from the Sprint S8+) to enable the Sprint radios/bands on the unlocked T-Mobile S8+, depending on your preference and how you want to configure the phone using ODIN. You can mix and match the firmware files (i.e., AP, CP, CSC, USERDATA, etc.). You can download the firmware files from either Android File Host, Updato, or SamMobile:
Code:
https://www.androidfilehost.com
https://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares
Glad to help.

Log into your Sprint account and swap it yourself by selecting activate a new device on the line you want to swap or call Sprint to swap. You can use the existing SIM. The SIM ICCID and iPhone SE IMEI must be paired correctly on your account before you can activate it. You did not mention which iPhone SE, so you may have to call Sprint to add the IMEI onto the Sprint database if it's not already on the database.

Glad to help.
Thanks so much this is really helpful. Do you know if Samsung pay would be disqualified if I flash the firmware? I know Samsung pay wouldn't work with rooted phones but I am not sure if they are the same concepts

I think they're referring to upgrading your phone.

Quote :
After 10/1/17, you can upgrade to a new Sprint phone by leasing or purchasing it in monthly installments - you'll still enjoy your free year of service. Any upgrades prior to 10/1/17 will require a plan change to Unlimited data, talk and text and you'll lose the remaining free months in your year of free service.
To me, this part implies that you can swap to other Sprint phones, which I believe is anything they'll let you activate (the IMEI is in their system). But you still need to activate/port the line using an eligible device.

Quote :
If the phone you bring to Sprint through the Unlimited - Bring Your Phone promotion is lost or breaks, you have options that allow you to keep your first year of free service:

You can purchase a Sprint phone at full manufacturer's retail price, or
Swap out a different eligible phone although a new Sprint SIM may be required
I don't see anything in the small print at the bottom excluding swapping out phones either.

Can the free year of service offer be stacked with Sprint referral rewards? If yes, reference to the process, please.

My GV number is also showing issues in the mySprint account. I will receive phone tomorrow.
May be because I switched my GV number after the order but what to do now?
Not sure what you mean by this. When I ported my GV number, I had to make a second call to finalize the porting. Can check status of ported number at https://shop2.sprint.com/en/wlnp/check.shtml When checking mine, it said waiting for port activation, and to call Sprint at 866-437-1818

Did anyone actually end up losing their plan after upgrading a phone? By upgrading, I mean ordering a phone like the iPhone SE from best buy deal. My understanding is that it would just give you an error and say upgrading is not compatible with your plan. That's what happened when I tried upgrading for my 4th iPhone. They called me saying I would have to change my plan, so I canceled the order. But anyone got an order through somehow and ended up losing the plan down the line?

What I am saying is I replaced my Google Voice number after placing the order so the number I mentioned in the order for port-in that doesnt belongs to me anymore. That may be the reason for issue. Porting status is saying "number is not activated". Something like that. Do I need to provide them current GV number? Or just ask for another number? I was talking to one rep over phone, they said first get the phone that I am going to receive today.

Cant say what changing the ported number mid-stream might do to the whole thing. If porting status page said that the port was approved by carrier (in this case Google) but not yet activated, it should have also said to call Sprint at 866-437-1818 to finalize things (to activate it on Sprint's end). That's what I had to do to finish my port of Google Voice #.

Exact message below "Your old carrier indicated that this number is no longer active with them and a number has to be active in order to transfer. Please call you old carrier to get it reactivated and then call 888-211-4727 and enter the number you are transferring so we can assist." What can be done now?

Ah, okay. They tried to port the original number instead of the alternate number. You're going to have to either get Sprint to try to port new number or figure out a way to get Google to let you reclaim the old number (which is highly doubtful). Once you get phone you're going to have to call Sprint and get them to modify your account to the new porting.
