Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Ring plus never hit anyone with a penalty nor did they ever try to retroactively bill you for free service.

I need to deactivate my phone so that I can get the MVNO flag switched so that I can get in on this Sprint deal. Does anyone here know, can I just change replace the phone IMEI in my account online (it's with Tello right now) with another phone, would that do it? And does that have to match what phone I'm actually using? I always thought you could change sim cards between phones. But I don't know if the carriers can tell on their networks which IMEIs are active or inactive, and does it become inactive only once I cancel the account that's currently using that phone? Does anyone know?

Also, does anyone know if an unlocked iPhone 7+ purchased directly from Apple would be in the Sprint database already, or would it need to be added? It has only been on Sprint MVNOs. Hopefully, I just have to get the flag switched, as this is getting pretty complicated. Thanks.

Theoretically if you break your phone after signing up for this how could they tell you no to switching sim to a new phone?

They don't care if you swap phones, just need to have Sprint pair phone to Sim.
They don't want to subsidize your BYOD free plan with a new discounted phone is all.

So if your phone under this plan is lost or stolen then you can't replace it with another unlocked phone?

My IMEI wasn't passing the eligibility test last night after I ported from Sprint to Ting for the iPhone SE deal. Do I need to port out from Ting to say T-Mobile/H20? Or is it a wait 24 hour thing?
guys can anyone help..
I bought two SEs and paid off one 4 days ago and other one 2 days ago...
But both are still coming up as unpaid balance when i am checking on TING BYOD page..

also sprint rep tried to unlock and got the errors that devices are not financially eligible to unlock...
what to do ...please suggest

Yes you can. That was the point of my previous post. Sprint is different though, in the hat you must have them pair your sim to your phone. Easily done in chat or call in. No charge for this afaik

I am getting a phone next week for this deal. I will put it on Verizon Wireless for a few days, then sign up for this Sprint 1 year free deal.

Two Questions.

(1) Can I buy a SIM Card now from a Sprint store and register it with this deal after getting the new phone & putting it on Verizon Wireless to save the time for Sprint to ship a SIM card to me after I am on Verizon Wireless?

(2) Must the Verizon Wireless number be ported into Sprint? Or will Sprint just give a new number when signing up for this deal & its OK just to use that number?

1. Yes, you can buy sim ahead, but you need to call in to sign up
2. You have to port in, but you can change the numbe rafter port in

You can do whatever you want, whether they will pay you is a different story.
Officially none of these 2 will go through with free plan

Does anyone know how I can free up a phone from freedompop? It's a sprint phone and want to use it with this deal, but they have it locked to my freedompop account. I even tried porting the number to Verizon and then ported the number to sprint, but freedompop still has the same number as active and phone is still on lock down.

Don't get smart. I was letting people know my experience in my area, backing it up with unscientic data. I didn't just say they suck in a general way. I also gave the good side by mentioning Tidal and the low cost of their phones.
The problem is your comment/warning s just too general, IF you are here to help people, try to be informative, give us some REAL data.

For most people it might be perfectly fine with 1-5 MBPS connection for free service if they dont use their phone to stream everything, so what exactly is your expectation and what area do you live that get bad service, Seriously Baltimore is not a 1 street city, so I am not sure you can generalize your experience to every person who live in Baltimore. If you want to warn people, you should say around XXX street in Baltimore

In my area I am getting 6-10 mbps download, but I know that 1-2 miles from my place people are getting 100 mbps.. so should I warn anyone not to sign up north of NYC because of this??
so unless you travel around the city have like 10-20 data points with speed of exact area your assumption would be very wrong random comment like this is pretty useless.

DM FP on Twitter (@FreedomPopHelp) ask them to switch off your MVNO flag, it takes up to 72 hours but it works fine
