Also, does anyone know if an unlocked iPhone 7+ purchased directly from Apple would be in the Sprint database already, or would it need to be added? It has only been on Sprint MVNOs. Hopefully, I just have to get the flag switched, as this is getting pretty complicated. Thanks.
They don't want to subsidize your BYOD free plan with a new discounted phone is all.

I bought two SEs and paid off one 4 days ago and other one 2 days ago...
But both are still coming up as unpaid balance when i am checking on TING BYOD page..
also sprint rep tried to unlock and got the errors that devices are not financially eligible to unlock...
what to do ...please suggest

Two Questions.
(1) Can I buy a SIM Card now from a Sprint store and register it with this deal after getting the new phone & putting it on Verizon Wireless to save the time for Sprint to ship a SIM card to me after I am on Verizon Wireless?
(2) Must the Verizon Wireless number be ported into Sprint? Or will Sprint just give a new number when signing up for this deal & its OK just to use that number?

2. You have to port in, but you can change the numbe rafter port in
Officially none of these 2 will go through with free plan

For most people it might be perfectly fine with 1-5 MBPS connection for free service if they dont use their phone to stream everything, so what exactly is your expectation and what area do you live that get bad service, Seriously Baltimore is not a 1 street city, so I am not sure you can generalize your experience to every person who live in Baltimore. If you want to warn people, you should say around XXX street in Baltimore
In my area I am getting 6-10 mbps download, but I know that 1-2 miles from my place people are getting 100 mbps.. so should I warn anyone not to sign up north of NYC because of this??
so unless you travel around the city have like 10-20 data points with speed of exact area your assumption would be very wrong random comment like this is pretty useless.
