Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I got 2 connections and did the number portability to Sprint .Just to Buy the SIM with customer care it took 2hrs 30 mins for each SIM and I called them for Activation of the SIM which took me around 3 hrs in the call, customer care keeps on calling and asking me the same information repeatedly, So finally it got activated ..after a week I got a mail stating that my Bill is $127 due ..So, I am fed up to call to customer care so I Used the Chat support and after providing all the details and they took 1 hr to tell me that my supervisor will call me to rectify this problem within 2-3 days and nobody called me .So today again I had a chat with one of the agents again they told me that the plan was showing Unlimited Freedom that's why I was charged, and my problem will correct again in 2-3 days they said. So, I might not use this services anymore..they don't have a record and the plan they promised is BYOD and billing will be "0" for one year and the first week I got a bill of $127 .

You can either go by what that rep told you, or read what has been posted here at least 25 times and follow the steps in the wiki. Up to you

I am sorry for this question, but I haven't ported or changed carriers in a long time, but my mom had a FreedomPop account, using a sprint SIM. Her FP account is now canceled, as of today. Can she now turn around and use that same sprint SIM to activate service on this year free deal, or does she need to buy a new sprint SIM? Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I was actually just going to replace the phone online in the account with the imei for another phone. It requires a different SIM card, but I wasn't going to actually use it.
Not sure if that will complete the process or not. You may have to actually turn the new device on and let it connect to the network for the device change to be completed.

At least read the first page. This deal is not for lazy people. It requires some work.

I would appreciate any advice on how to deactivate a phone (to get the flag changed) when you still need the number on that phone.
If you want to keep the phone number, activate another phone on the line. That is the only way.

She needs to have service on another provider in order to be able to port in a number to Sprint from another carrier's network. I think some people may have been able to do google voice numbers, but I am not sure, search the thread.

FYI T-Mobile and AT&T are GSM. Verizon And Sprint = CDMA
What does this mean? Is GSM better than CDMA? Thanks.

CDMA is a proprietary technology owned by Qualcomm. At one time it was better than GSM, which is an open standard. Now that 4G LTE is out, which is based on GSM, CDMA actually has some disadvantages, for instance you can only do simultaneous voice and data with the 4G LTE newer phones if your carrier offers VoLTE. Sprint has not yet implemented VoLTE so you can't do simultaneous voice and data on Sprint.

Also the way Sprint has configured their Device Management Database so that the IMEI and the SIM card number are paired in their DMD, you can't do simple SIM swaps on Sprint to change devices. This also allows Sprint to enforce the FED.

Not sure how you'd unlock Android phones, as I use iPhones. However, I was able to pay eBay unlock sellers $29 to unlock my Boost iPhone SEs.
Which eBay buyer did you buy the unlock service from?
