Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Ported over two numbers today; one form straight talk and the other from cricket.

No issue, although the number for one of the lines was incorrect and I had call to get it changed to reflect the correct number. If that happens to you do not activate the sim, call and get it corrected before creating an account.

Yeah the data is nowhere near what I am using. I have done over 100 speed tests! Surprisingly, it is faster than Verizon in a lot of areas! EEK!
I tested this in the 30180 zip code and got 49.02 Mbps download and 14.52 upload with Sprint compared to Verizon who was 21.66 download and 17.16 upload. On my drive there, Verizon was 0.41 Mbps down and 0.27 up in some areas.
Speeds are so hit or miss. On cricket I've hit 40+Mbps. On sprint on one test I hit 20Mbps, but I typically get 2-10mbps. This was also what I would get on straight talk. Both straight talk and cricket were using ATT towers using the same device.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but when calling to activate do I need all phones I am adding present at that time? Getting sim cards in mail tomorrow but I won't have access to wife's phone as she will be traveling.
Don't attempt to Port your wife's phone without it. They need the imei number and to activate service you will need to put the sim in her phone. The porting starts before the activation completes, part of the port process cancels the old account. Your wife will have a phone without cell service.

For sure you aren't. I see plenty of people posting here who cannot get the non-Sprint iPhone SE's whitelisted. A few claim they have been successful but yet I see no proof of that. Someone posted a picture of them holding a phone as if that somehow proved something, of course it didn't.
Umm, that someone posted 2 photos. One showed the phone on the Sprint network. Sounds like you didn't bother to look at that photo.

Thanks for the caveat.
I completely agree and would not risk using another phone NUMBER as placeholder.
Also, someone said if you do not complete the port for some time, it may get flagged as fraud. Not worth taking a chance when there are other low cost options like GV, Tmo, FP.
A phone number can't be used as a placeholder. One of the requirements to get a free line is to port in a number. And one of the terms that the rep read to me is to not upgrade that line OR change the number for 120 days. I didn't realize that the number couldn't be changed, but the rep repeated this several times to me.

I didn't see any photos showing the phone on the Sprint network and pray tell, how would you show that anyhow?

Feel free to link me to the photos since you claim they exist.

Yes. You just need the account number and PIN, which is aka the billing password (and which is not the same as the password to log into your online account).

Correct, you use your own name and SSN to open the Sprint account.

They opened an account and you didn't have the SIM to do the port in? You aren't supposed to open the account until you get the SIM. How did they open the account if you don't have any SIMs? You need to have lines in the account and without SIMs you can't have lines. Doesn't make sense.
Actually I was calling to ask questions about how to open a new account under my name, as I'm on a family plan without being the account holder. The guy told me "no worries, Let me do it for you" , and I had no choice as I thought this issue could be solved by him. he asked my current carrier, phone#, address, my name, SSN. And opened an account for me. It Sounds like he was helping me to port in my number, however he didn't ask for my current account#and pin, and gave me a sprint account#and pin. Weird. Also, he kept selling the"free tablet" for me, very annoying. Where should I go to activate my sim when it arrives?

I am worried that he screwed you over since this promo is only for new customers. I don't see how he opened an account for you unless he put in a tablet line. I would worry that a tablet is going to show up in the mail. I would call and try to find out what that rep did.

Keep us posted, idk how it is going to work out for you. I would have never given him your SSN until you had the SIMs.

Feel free to apologize for being rude.
And I'm sure you could have dug up this link if you really wanted to since you mentioned the photo in the first place. But instead you choose to act like your word and opinion is infallible and anything to the contrary is merely "claimed" to exist. All it took was for you to tap "Load one more image" but you're so quick to want to disprove others and show you're right that once you saw the first photo didn't have proof you jumped back in saying it didn't show anything.

Please don't reply back saying this image doesn't prove anything. I value LiterallyUnlimited's proof above whatever opinion you have. Anything negative you have to say about his proof will be completely ignored by me.

Sorry if these were answered before. I didn't see it in the wiki.

1. Can you port a landline number like Verizon FiOS?

2. Is the referral $50 per account or per line? It says new line in the terms. So with 5 lines, that's $250 prepaid?
