From the fine printed (at the bottom of the link [sprint.com]):

Add a Line: Add a line at any time up to the max. number of lines & get promotional pricing until 7/31/2018.
Add a Line: Add a line at any time with port-in from postpaid carrier and Bring Your Own Eligible Phone up to the max. number of lines & get promotional pricing until 7/31/2018.
I had also asked via chat whether lines could be added after 7/31/17 and qualify and was told no. I agree, though, that the terms seem to imply otherwise.

My brother in law has an eligible iPhone 6s and I was wondering what happens if I sign up with his IMEI and then activate with my Sprint bought Nexus 5?

Is that possible? Or do I need the SIM inside his phone at the time of activation? He lives a few states away.

Tried to read the last 20 or so pages and the wiki and I'm still confused.
You can sign up with his phone and later swap in your phone. Do it through chat or call technical support. Not sure if same sim will work. I usually go with a new sim.

The verizon model won't work. The unlocked model will work. BB will usually match the Amazon price. You should however get the Moto E4. Better all around phone. BTW, read the wiki. The sim for the E4 is SIMGLW416Q

Compared to Moto-E4 (newer), this Moto-G4 Play has a very limited support on networks/bands/frequencies/channels. Especially, it has NO band-41 (used by Sprint Spark, LTE + network)

We will see but I think although that could be worded better they mean you can add free lines until the promo expires on 7/31/17 and any lines you add will have promotional pricing until 7/31/18.

The key-words are "Promotional Pricing"...!!!

You need an eligible phone and a compatible SIM card for that eligible phone. Once you activate the SIM using the IMEI of the eligible phone, that SIM card can only be used in that eligible phone.

You can reassociate the SIM card with another Sprint device but only if that Sprint device is compatible with that SIM card. And you have to do the reassociation online or have a rep do it. Sprint does not allow simple SIM swaps.

For sure you aren't. I see plenty of people posting here who cannot get the non-Sprint iPhone SE's whitelisted. A few claim they have been successful but yet I see no proof of that. Someone posted a picture of them holding a phone as if that somehow proved something, of course it didn't.
Quote from Verniculous :
I didn't see any photos showing the phone on the Sprint network and pray tell, how would you show that anyhow?

Feel free to link me to the photos since you claim they exist.
See attached. Got the iphone from the Best Buy Verizon 32GB iPhone SE prepaid deal from the FP deal. Sucessfully using it on this BYOD One year free. Its been connected on Sprint for almost a week now.
It's missing Band 41 - but speed tests in the past few days shows a decent 15-20 mbps down / 2mbps up.

You can switch to your Sprint Nexus 5 really quickly after activation. You'll need the correct SIM number for his iPhone, and the correct SIM number for your Nexus. You don't need to activate his phone before you switch to your Nexus 5.

That said, the Nexus 5 is eligible on its own -- why not just use that when you activate? All you'll need is the right SIM card.
