Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I think you need to port her number out of her current Sprint account to a non-Sprint provider and then back into your account. If Sprint is like Verizon, then you can't port back until her old account starts a new billing cycle.

What phone does she have?

Thanks, many others haven't been as lucky as you. Please write up how you were able to get it whitelisted to help the others.
Nothing different than those who were able to get it "unlocked" in the BB iPhone thread (there's like 3 threads on it, but locate the one with over 1k replies). Activated it with AT&T sim prior to 7/18 (which seems to be the key to getting it unlocked (unlocking before 7/18, date seems to matter, any non-verizon PP sim should do the trick) , I don't know if this is a fact or not, feel free to read up on it @ the other thread).

Decided to take a gamble with this offer since it's free for one year, worse case is I lose around $15 ($2.99 sim + $10 shipping + 1st month fee).
Steps:
1) Did the Google Voice route, paid $3 and once it's ready to port, I went to the "Confirm phone eligibility" section from the promo link.
2) Entered phone's IMEI & GV#. Shows eligible, and went ahead to place order.
3) Received SIM the next day, followed the instructions included with the mail, which tells you to activate sim via www.sprint.com/activatenow
4) Call porting department to push the port from GV to Sprint. Waited 30 mins and i'm online.

Edit: "(unlocking before 7/18)"

Is the iPhone 7 paid off in full? Is it leased? Is her current Sprint line under contract?

I ported one of my paid sprint lines to Verizon then ported into the free sprint plan a few days later. This was about one or two days before end of billing cycle of old account. Same sprint phone number

Thanks, then it looks like Sprint is different from Verizon.

The main problem that poster has is that I bet her iPhone 7 is not paid off and if she ports out, the balance owed will come due. Or if she has a contract, then there will be an ETF.

I doubt he can just AOL the line from another Sprint account and have it qualify for the free plan.

I've read the Wiki and tens of pages. Trying to get a clear answer on eligibility of ATT iphone 5S UNLOCKED Model A1533 (fully paid & not in service)

1) I know wiki says iphone 5S verizon only. However, there are all kinds of rules, exceptions and workarounds in the thread so I tried different things:

2) Swappa checks out OK: "Whitelisted" and "Clear for activation"
3) Ting checks out: 'device eligible for activation'
4) Sprint BYOD check says " This device has been designated as lost or stolen and cannot be activated".

What? For other non-listed phones BYOD check said "not eligible". I believe that.
Should I believe Sprint's error message 'lost/stolen' (which it is NOT)? Or, does it mean 'not eligible' (because no CDMA)? I wish Sprint would state the correct reason. Then I would give up.

Is there anything else I can do .. like trying to get it whitelisted, or call the promo phone line?

Has anyone succeeded in getting this deal with ATT iphone 5S?
Thanks very much.

It says Verizon only for the 5C and 5S because those models didn't have universal modem hardware. Same as the iPhone 7/7+.

If you can get Sprint to whitelist them. They will whitelist A1549 but it lacks Band 41:

Apparently Verizon or Apple started locking these Iphone SE PrePaid devices to Verizon some time around 7/18 (first reported no longer "unlocked"). Those who never sim unlocked their devices prior to 7/18 has reported that their devices are not activating with non verizon pre-paid sim (including verizon postpaid).

The Verizon prepaid SE was not able to activate on other carriers after that date. There were also issues activating for Verizon and Verizon prepaid also.

The AT&T 5S does not have the right radios to activate on Sprint. Also, when it clears the Ting checker, is that for CDMA or for GSM? It should clear for GSM, assuming it's unlocked, but not for CDMA.

I'm guessing any unlocked iPhone SE (A1662 or A1723) will work with this promo, just some unfortunate folks who bought the "unlocked" pre-paid iPhone SE from BB assuming they're unlocked right out of the box wasn't able to get it working with this promo.

Now regarding the non-Sprint iPhone SE (A1662) - It depends on user's location if Sprint has LTE Band 25 or 26 working. I believe Sprint's fastest LTE is on Band 41, but i'm not complaining about the service i'm receiving with LTE Band 25. I've confirmed that i'm connected to Sprint's Band 25.

No, Sprint won't whitelist it.

Yes if you reassociate the SIM card with the different phone assuming the different phone is compatible with the SIM card you have. Or get the right type of SIM card for the different phone and activate it on the line.

But the different phone can't be a TMobile S8 since Sprint won't whitelist it.
