Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Anyone able to make any LG phone work? I have 5 lines on this BYOD plan but would like to buy an LG phone and use one of the lines on it. Which LG phone will work?

Sorry to ask but a search of s8 on this thread yielded different answers... will an unlocked T-Mobile S8 work with this?

I called last week to request a click it ticket to have my imei whitelisted but no luck so far. I haven't flashed it yet because I was waiting to get the imei approved first. Do I need to flash it first?

Just wondering if anybody here has been successful adding an unlocked T-Mobile s8.. If anyone has I'll escalate it, but if not I'll leave it alone Smilie

Didn't work for me. I will just initiate a chat later today. Phone passed eligibility check but I still get a message that they can't swap when trying to change devices. I made sure to turn both devices off before clicking Activate.

Edit: Was able to successfully swap a Verizon iPhone onto my existing line via chat.
The online swap tool hasn't been working lately, unfortunately.

Decided to give Sprint a try. Coming from T-Mobile.

Service is terrible. Call quality is bad and lte speeds are all over the place but generally slow in NYC.

Best part, got my bill for 7/21 to 7/21.

1 day $3.46

What kind of bs is that?
Sprint charges a month in advance. And there is a $1.99 monthly admin fee per line. $3.46 seems right.

No confirmations. Lots of anecdotes, no confirmations.

I don't think there were different answers from reputable posters. Sprint won't whitelist a TMobile Samsung device.

No, no one has been successful getting a TMobile Samsung device whitelisted by Sprint.

If you can get a hold of an eligible device from someone who has it active on another network, you can use that to get the free plan activated. Then switch to a Sprint LG phone later if you want to use an LG phone.

For instance, if you know someone with an eligible iPhone on another network you could use the iPhone IMEI to open a free line and of course you would need the right Sprint SIM. That would not disrupt their service on the other carrier. Then you could swap to the Sprint LG phone that you wanted to use but again, you would need the right Sprint SIM for the LG phone.

Kind of a hassle but IMO worth it for the free service if you really want to use an LG phone on Sprint.

Using the Moto G5 Plus on this free plan - very happy with the call quality compared to T-Mobile but my data speeds are only upto 3Mbps tops. It says LTE connection on the phone and not sure if its some setting on the phone but its a brand new Amazon ads based Moto G5 plus bought on prime day..

Coverage map for my area shows best LTE coverage per their website.. Anyone aware of any tweak I need to do to get better LTE speeds?

You think Sprint SIM that came in my iPhone SE Best Buy Deal will be compatible for activating iPhone 5C? It had iOS 9.3.4 (so was probably packed between August 4, 2016 and August 25, 2016, maybe Sprint Universal SIMs were not available back in those days?

That sounds about right for Sprint. Sprint oversells their service to MVNOs and their towers tend to be congested. Unless you are on Band 41, don't expect better than 3Mbps, which is still very usable for mobile needs. And even if you are on Band 41, if your tower is congested, it isn't going to be fast.

If Sprint service was reliable, with good coverage, good call quality and fast, then it wouldn't be free.

I called promo line yesterday and opened the account using 1) a placeholder my wife's active Verizon iphone 5C, 2) ported my FP number, 3) SIM card I had.
I have the new BYOD account and logged in. Puzzled about several things.
  • The new Sprint BYOD account does not show any active device or service.
  • My FP account still shows my number that was to be ported out to Sprint!
1) How long should I wait for Sprint to activate the phone and service?

2) I have not installed the SIM in iPhone 5C because it is a placeholder and I do not want to mess up her verizon service. Do I need to 'activate' it by installing Sprint SIM?
In that case, will I be able to switch her iphone 5C back to Verizon SIM and Verizon service without affecting her phone number or service?

Thanks
