Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Have you read about calling *3 to payoff dpp to get phone unlocked?
No, I asked you about that on the other thread.

Quote from svsfan :
I'm not sure if it's 100% I got my J3 unlocked that way. I guess doing Verizon sim unlock you get to keep interest free loan with dpp.
Yeah but I would want to terminate the lines. I would only do this if there were better deals on Sprint iPhones than on Verizon iPhones through BB, which seems to be the case lately.

If the deals are good on Verizon through BB, I can just add to my Verizon lines.

Here's the deal.

My daughter's fiancée has an old IPhone 6 that has a broken screen which he had on the Sprint network. He deleted that phone and got a new IPhone 7+ on the Sprint network. He still owes $200 on that IPhone 6 to Sprint.

We repaired the IPhone 6 and want to take advantage of this promo presently running.

My daughter has an IPhone 4 on the Verizon network (family plan).

Question is: Can we pay off the $200 owed on the IPhone 6 and make that her phone and transfer the line from Verizon and still get the promo with Sprint? Her fiancée would still be with Sprint and my daughter would be the additional line which should qualify for the free data, talk, text for one year.

Owing the $200 on the old IPhone 6 complicates matters.

Am I correct, do not go into the store?

Thanks, Brad

Simply depends on the rep. Best thing to do is ask before going through with the buying process. If they don't agree, go to another store or come back later in the day or the next day and try again.
Yeah, I would not buy if they wouldn't let me take them home without activating them.

Put the iPhone 6 imei and daughters Verizon number in eligibility checker. If it passes call the special promo number to sign up for the free plan. cannot get free plan in store.

ok just thought of something that would not really cost me money or that much time. I would port out 7+ to VZ (and ask again for activation waiver credit) and have the phone and # for BYOD. I could port both 6s and 7+ into BYOD. I still have the old 4s so I would swap with one of the other iphones, freeing it up to come back to BYOD with the last outstanding number. Thoughts?

Also, is it a hassle to do phone swapping within Sprint?

That would work. Just make sure 4s is not active.

Yes it's hassle. If you can swap online might take a minute or two. I always have to chat takes 10 min or more.

He just upgraded to the IPhone 7+ on Sprint network and quit using the IPhone 6 even though he is still paying on it.

Yes go to activate device then chose the line you want to deactivate then enter imei and sim number of 4s. If it doesn't work online you need to call/chat to swap.

So then, what he did was activate the iP7+ on his line freeing up the iPhone 6?

Where did he buy the iPhone 7+ from? That doesn't likely matter, I just want to make sure I understand what is going on.

btw, is sprint's website like the crappest of all time? is there a way to get rid of that 2-factor authentication crap? and does the site work better on certain browsers?

Not sure where he purchased the IPhone 7+. Used the Sprint "eligibility checker" with the IPhone 6 IMEI and her Verizon phone number and it said she was eligible. Evidently, did not matter that he owes $200 on the IPhone 6.

Her IPhone 4 is active presently. How can I make sure it is not active so she can get the promo?

How do we merge her new Sprint line with the line her fiancée presently has?

AT&T's is worse. Verizon's is the best, followed by Tmobile then Sprint. AT&T's is awful.
