Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

how long does it usually take to port a number from verizon to sprint?

also, I'm trying to do this with an unlocked Moto E4. currently have a iphone 5 with verizon. do I need to switch my device on verizon from iphone to the e4 first? or can I port my number even if the e4 isn't registered with verizon in any way?
It took me minutes, if not seconds to Port in from Google voice. I think you can Port the number directly from the other phone as long as you have the right Sim and phone.

I had to call a second line right after the initial call to finish the port.

Sprint banned me for life years ago when they were losing customers by the millions, they simply couldn't figure out why I was being charged roaming fees on their Network, so they banned me, lol. I've gotten dozens of people to leave Sprint, and that's after years of loyalty from me, Sprint literally is the dumb network.
I don't trust any one phone carrier over another anymore than one cable company over the other. They're all in it for your money when it's all said and done. Look at Tmobile, the so-called un-carrier. Yeah they paved the way for the no-contract business model but their "cool" CEO has raised prices close to Verizon this year. Yet people thought he was one of us because he doesn't wear a suit and has long hair.

Interestingly phone network speed comparisons in different cities. Nothing too surprising except for Verizon not being the best from coast to coast. http://speedsmart.net/wireless_index/#more

Activated my sim (on Moto E4 )over the phone yesterday. It took around 40 minutes. Number porting from Cricket was done in seconds when I was still on call with the rep. smooth process. They did manual credit check not sure what it meant. Rep told that it is a hard pull.

So, we can't get this deal over the phone (per wiki)?

If not, then is there a way to bypass the $10 overnight SIM card fee if I already have a new Sprint SIM ready to go?

You can do this deal over the phone. Go to your local Sprint store, ask for a SIM card, which will be free. Call the number in wiki and be done in less than an hour.

If you have a Sim, you need to call to activate.

Web page change. Does this mean everyone saves til 9/30/18?Applause

Savings until 9/30/18; then $60/mo. for line 1, $40/mo. for line 2 & $30/mo./line for lines 3-5. Reqs. AutoPay (discount applied w/in 2 invoices), new account, bring your own eligible device & Sprint SIM card. Savings claim compared to Verizon Unlimited rate plan for 1 line as of 5/31/17. Data deprioritization during congestion. Other monthly charges apply.**

Hmm...Could this be a sign that they will extend this deal til end of September?
