Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Finally activated my first line.... just wanted to warn everyone that a girl named Liz is very knowledgeable but she is also a liar.. she put the insurance on my account even though I didn't want it... and I told her repeatedly that I didn't want it... now I am having to go through the hassle of having it removed..... I'm betting I get charged for a whole month of it even though I didn't want it...

Oh and when I called back to speak to another rep... she confirmed that they were extending the promo through August...

yeah they told me they are extending to august for people to sign up but not that the promo will last until aug 2018.. so if you sign up now you'll get hte year if you sign up by the end of aug you'll get 11 months free .. the odd thing is the wording in the small print on the sprint site says promo lasts until sept 2018! so technically we should all get that.. oh well ... how do you find out if you got insurance etc added onto your line? when i log into my account no details are there just that i owe 0.00

It will be under your plan details under device.... I repeatedly told her I didn't want it because I was activating a cheap 5c...... I think the reps must get some kind of bonus for signing people up on that stuff.....

The second rep claimed the first rep would be disciplined for it but I doubt they do anything to anyone...

And even though customer service claims they removed it from my plan, it still shows up on my account 2 hours later... ridiculous...

I have a gophone sim I want to activate on the 25¢/min or $2 daily plan so I port the number. What's the minimum I have to spend to get the sim activated and would I have to call at&t to do this? Online it only lets me select $30+ plans.

Also if I use the IMEI from a friend's iphone 7 on Verizon as a placeholder, get a sprint sim and port the gophone number, will it definitely not affect her existing Verizon service??

I want to use the iphone IMEI as a placeholder and swap in a cheap phone later but want to make sure my friend's service is still uninterrupted.
I had to call. They let me add the $2 plan over the phone, and i paid $2. One phone i used the $2 and called days later with no balance. It still ported over fine. I did get a hassle trying to get the accpunt number, but i got a rep that gave it to me. If one won't, just keep calling.

Pretty sure everyone was required to get the insurance, just remove it from your dashboard on the first day so you don't get charged. I removed mines after 3 days and i got billed for 3 days prorated.

I told them I didn't know. They looked it up and told me "Broadband - Sybase." (I knew this.) All Freedompop lines are VoIP lines. That's your number. They have hardware-linked number that shows as a Sprint MNVO number. Porting over your number listed on your account is strictly VoIP and they have no clue it's Sprint.
When I called to check on the port it showed as Republic Wireless on their end lol. I guess because both are voip.

BTW, everything went extremely smoothly through telesales. Setup took less than half an hour, port completed and everything was up and running in under an hour. I had no issues understanding them and was pleasantly surprised at their English skills considering the bashing on this thread. Not sure what the deal was with the guy throwing shade at the Filipino accents Confused

They never asked me to add insurance but did ask for my permission several times in the process of setting up the account. Hopefully on of those times I gave my "permission" wasn't to automatically add the insurance on. I'm highly tempted to port my main line over now with Ting. I know I'd have to port to a non-sprint mvno first. I want to port to freedompop and then sprint, but according to this porting is unavailable. Guess they must be inundated with sprint ports lol.

https://support.freedompop.com/ap...freedompop

Anyone successfully port into freedompop and then out to sprint right away??

I ported FP number. Told them it was from Freedompop. No problem, they know about FP.
It was not ported for a couple of days. Had to call porting dept at (877) 503-3269 to push it through.

There is lot of speculation about whether a phone will pass FED.
Bottom line Question is: HOW do you check whether FED is clear or not.
Quote from Verniculous :
Was the phone active on SPP/BM/VM for 1 year? If not, then it won't pass the FED.

Sprint extended this deal till September.

I set the account with great difficulty.

Unlocked IPhone and google nexus 5 previously on ring plus. On online it showed both phones ineligible. Iphone last month showed as stolen and online it showed ineligible after telling the rep now they say it is eligible but nexus 5 is still not. Seems like that's registered in Sprint network as prepaid.

Now, i tried to port active lte freedom number since people said they had success. Told fep that it's att mvno prepaid. But she want to confirm that with att for account number.

If anyone who have done porting from freedompop please tell me how you ported and how it was successful.

Now only account creation was successful. Any idea how long they hold the account?

If freedompop is not possible, which way yippy guys get the port in?

Try to activate it on Sprint postpaid, that is how. If it doesn't activate and the ownership flag is set to SPCS, then the problem is the FED.

You want there to be some foolproof online tool that you can use that can distinguish the reasons a SPP/BM/VM phone is not eligible for activation on Sprint postpaid and there isn't one. If a SPP/BM/VM phone is not eligible for activation on Sprint postpaid, it could be either the FED or the ownership flag. Try to activate it on Sprint postpaid, then you will know what the issue is if any.

If the swappa ESN checker is saying that the device is still financed, then it won't pass the FED. But IME, if the swappa ESN checker says it is clear, that doesn't mean it is.

My freedompop number ported in under an hour on a Sunday so I was quite impressed. Now I want to port my daily driver line into freedompop to get this deal.
