Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Still slightly better than Verizon customer service.
I have both Verizon and Sprint for quite some time and that is just not true. Sprint's phone customer service is by and large off shored and terrible. Verizon's is 100% US based.

Since Sprint is inviting everyone to port-in VZ phones, how about a VZ prepaid Moto-E4 (~$40+Tax, from Walmart)?
Does anyone have successfully tried it...???

Note:
Moto-E4 VZ version has much...much...better H/w & specs than the Sprint version, which doesn't have a fingerprint reader/sensor. Also, the VZ version has a hidden GSM system, which some of us has reported successfully using it on ATT & T-Mo services..

Only certain ones, those that have the hardware and firmware compatible for use on Sprint.

Converted 5 Lines from T-mo, Republic, and MetroPCS to this plan. It was a huge headache to do over the phone even though I had all the information needed to port on hand.

They managed to mess up the MetroPCS port out and even mix up ICCID numbers on my devices.

Took almost 3 hours, a trip to the Sprint store to get new sim cards, and I almost lost my cool..

Voice quality here is awful compared to T-mobile, and speeds are abysmal at ranging from 0.5 Mbps to 3 Mbps..

Still worth it to me to save over $1200 for the year. Still slightly better than Verizon customer service.
Did you call the 8777 for this? I have a Moto G5 Plus and the correct sim, should I call to port in? (I have Freedompop number), both imei & phone numbers passed the sprint eligibility check.

I got denied saying my account does not qualify. But you can always try.
Any guess what reason can it be? Because this is (supposedly) free service?

I think it's because I got the aadvantage promotion for a $400 gift card if I have 1 port in number and at least 2 new lines.

Yeah and I bet that's one of Verizon's excuses for having the highest prices historically going back to the LG Envy feature phone days. In my 20 years of use, I've only needed to call customer service a grand total of 2 times. Everything else was handled in store or with email.

If this is a dumb question I apologize, but I'm wondering if the following will be feasible?

I'm helping my parents (who currently have basic phones w/ Verizon) get smartphones in the coming weeks. My plan is to get them each a Moto G4 or G5 then take advantage of this deal by porting their numbers to Sprint then activating their new smartphones to hopefully get the one year free for each of them.

When Sprint checks eligibility do they only care that your phone number was released from Verizon and that the IMEI is clean/ready to activate? Or do they somehow verify that the phone you're bringing to Sprint was previously activated on Verizon under a data/smartphone plan?

Ideally my parents could make the switch and get the free year promo without first having to activate their new smartphones on Verizon, if only to save a little money and/or hassle.
