Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Do not count on Sprint waiving/refunding first month charges.
I got in on SE deal, paid off, unlocked, ported out - all in less than 6 days. First month bill was already posted for about $59. Chatted with a CSR who said full amount will be credited since this was within '14 days guarantee'. I have written transcript.

When I tired to buy E4 from Sprint or BB, Sprint insists there is $59 balance due. I have spoken with finance / credit departments four times, with specific reference to CSR chat transcript. Spent hours with various supervisors. No one is able to remove the charges! They are still pending in my account. Not worth the frustration.

I will not do Sprint phone deals, or only if only if it makes sense after including the activation and first month charges. E4 did not make sense.

The Sprint version for $2.49/mon x 24 Months, is a PITA...you need to subscribe a regular postpaid plan; like $40/mon. Then, port-out the number w/in 14 days (for a partially refund of monthly charge & activation fee...$30, which is a YMMV). I tried this method, but not succeeded...so, I end up w/ the order cancelled.

Try running it through the ting byod imei check I heard that will add it to sprints list of phones.

I have an Moto E4 on the plan currently. I am looking to add the E4 plus when released.

Does anyone know of it will work on the plan?

Also, will it take the same 416Q SIM as the e4?

Thanks.

Yes but NOT if you buy it on any plan, promotion, or discount.
In other words only if you pay cash and do not associate it with any plan.
You will still have to port in a NUMBER.
That's what I'm going to do. I have Cricket plan right now and none of Cricket devices work for Sprint network. So I will buy a new Sprint version of HTC U11 from official HTC website and port my Cricket number with this U11 device to get this offer. After a year if I decide not to stay with Sprint I just request for unlock and hope that U11 will work with other carriers.

It will work in my opinion, especially ordering the Sprint version as you are.
I obtained a Sprint Samsung S8+ directly from the Samsung site and it activated fine on this offer.

Doubt it, it's not on the list. And not Sprint branded.

Yes but your S8+ is listed in the phone model but HTC U11 is not. That's why I asked the first question that are only those list phone models work for this offer.

That sucks. What did you say was the reason you ported out so quickly?

It should work. The list is just intended to be descriptive, not prescriptive. If Moto got the imei's approved by Sprint as they did with the E4, it will be fine. Sim should be the same unless this phone adds new network features that require a new sim. I doubt that will be the case.

Not really. It says S8+ Special Edition (which means Universal all-carrier model) on the list and mine is not special edition.
Also I have activated a Tribute HD that is not mentioned at all on the list.
In actual fact you can activate almost any Sprint phone (unless financed or discounted or prepaid).
There are no special restrictions built into the checker for this offer other than it must be true BYOD and not financed or discounted or prepaid. They are just trying to describe what models will activate on their standard activation engine. They explain that lower down. The list is just their standard BYOD guidance list (usually slightly out of date).

You can call them and they should be able to confirm that. Only call the number given in the wiki.

It's the A1661 model which supports sprint network.
I ran it through Ting check and it passed. Spoke with a rep at Sprint and was told foreign phones cannot be added to their network...

That will be great! Just ran through Ting BYOD IMEI check and it says compatible with both GSM and CDMA.
Do you know how long does it take to be added to Sprint's list after this?

Thanks!
