Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.
Can I cancel after the first year?
Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Anyone knows what happens when you add a phone that you purchase from Best Buy to your existing free BYOD Sprint plan? I'm trying to get the LG G6 phone from Best Buy but when I add it to my plan, it comes up at $0 for the plan? Don't want any surprises. Thanks in advance.

Now only issue is that my initial bill shows 22 dollars....i need to call them to find out I guess.
The "Total Equipmnt Protection Plus" (with a missing a letter like that when I saw it through "Manage Plan", not a good sign of their QA/product manager) seems to be automatically added.

I removed it manually shortly after signing up.

That's probably a good chunk of that "22 dollars" you saw (and the rest are probably the $5 that should be removed with auto-pay and other fees+taxes).

For those who may still be wondering/hesitating about porting out of FreedomPop, it is possible. These are the steps I went through:
  1. Logged in to FP and got a new number (the original one was already recycled as I didn't get to use the FP Global GSM SIM by that time).
  2. Went to https://my.freedompop.com/settings/port-out-info to note down the Pin.
  3. Went to Sprint corporate store to try to buy SIM and was told none in stock.
  4. Went to Apple Store to get Sprint SIM for brand new iPhone (never used with any provider and is the model that supports CDMA + GSM). No charge for the SIM.
  5. Called the 866-782-8777 in the wiki and asked them to sign me up for the one year unlimited free plan.
  6. CSR (in Philippines) entered my PII (SSN, DoB, etc.) and conferenced call somebody in the credit check department (probably in the US, no accent). Was asked questions that we've all seen when verifying our identities on-line through some bank sites (name of street used to live on, etc.).
  7. Completed the rest of the sign-up process with the first CSR who asked for # to port in (gave the FP #), PIN, and provider. When I told him "FreedomPop", he said he never knew of that provider until my call.
  8. About an hour or so later, there was a pop-up displayed on my iPhone saying the line was activated. Voice, SMS, and cellular data worked right away.
  9. Created Sprint online account to then remove the TEPP.

Strange thing is that FP account still shows the account as active. I expected the account to have gotten closed when the # was ported out as there was no other line in that account.

Yes. I already swapped out 2 Verizon phones (lack Sprint 26 and 41 Bands) with Sprint-branded. No problem whatsoever. Only chat works though.

People kept confusing Upgrade (= Sprint installment plan or flex lease) with ESN swap.

I bought a Motorola G4 Play last weekend and checked it on the sprint site along with our AT&T phone number and it said the device was eligible. It would not allow me to order a sim card on the sprint site without calling in for a credit pull, so I ordered a sim card on Twigby which arrived today. Went back to the site and it now says my device is not eligible.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!!

Try again later or switch browser. Something is acting up. You can call to activate your line.

i am not sure what happened. as i mentioned last week the imei number worked fine on the site.

today i called in and they pulled my credit. then checked the phone, and are now saying it is already on a sprint post paid account. they do not know when the account was opened nor have a number associated with it.

very frustrated.
