You must have called the wrong tel #. It's not an 877 #.
The tel # in the Wiki is:
the Promo number @ 866-782-8777 to set up service and activate your line,
and the reps there should know.
Try this #. If you called it already call again and get a different rep or ask for a supervisor.
No, that is the 8777 number I called. The rep I talked to was helpful, but they're saying that telesales can't see online applications/orders.

Has anyone actually swapped a phone with the one you ported over? I've asked several reps, and each has said I can't until December or lose the 1 year free promo.

I know its a long thread. Have you read or search this thread. This has been answered at least 100 times. The answer is yes you can swap to any Sprint compatible phones via call or chat.

Call this # 888-211-4727.
It's the trouble ticket #, they deal with porting issues, etc. and perhaps they can help with your porting issue.

That's the # I called and the porting became effective in 15 minutes.

Yes, many here have done it.

Do it by calling if it doesn't work online.

Search this thread for the word swap.

Was anyone successful in getting the AAdvantage Miles sign up bonus along with this offer? I just checked the status earlier today and it says I was denied due to the following reason:

"This offer is only available for qualified account types."

I might stay with them after free service. Service and coverage as good as AT&T in my area.
TMobile has no signal inside buildings could not stay even a day on TMO. Wifi calling didn't work reliably.

1A. Port out to at&t just call to activate the $2 prepaid plan - minimum of $10 fund reuqired. Then you have to ask rep for an at&t account number (not phone number) and PIN.

1B. Or get a tmobile sim card to port in your Ting number, you don't have to add fund when you call to activate but do need set up a PIN. "1+phone number" is your Tmobile account number. If you can get a sim for free or under $10 this will be cheaper than plan A.

2. Get a Sprint SIM card for Moto G5 plus (the universal sprint BYOD sim SIMOLW506C works on mine) and call the dedicated 866 number, provide port in account number, phone number, and PIN.
Does it still work?

Total Wireless does $35/month for 5gb of data on Verizon towers, so you might be better off with that offer or $75/month for Verizon unlimited($15 more than Sprint). If you have a job and need unlimited, it's worth paying the $15 more per month.
