Has anyone done activate device on existing BYOD line for Sprint Moto E 2015 XT1526? I was wondering if Sprint restrict it saying it is originally prepaid device.

finally got this going after talking to a rep on the phone for an hour

nice people but wow I hate giving out all my info, especially on the phone and even more especially with a hard credit pull

is there any reason I would want to use all five of the lines they gave me credit for? I mean this isn't like the verizon deal where there are benefits to extra phones and swapping out?

btw what's with the $2 monthly service charge they mention in the terms of service?

oh and can you switch a sprint sim between phones once it is activated like you can with verizon or is it locked to an imei?

wow sprint may suffer from poor signal in general but their customer service people are top notch

the number transfer department just slammed through the transfer instead of it being required to wait 24 hours until midnight tomorrow

easy peasy

I setup two lines of "free"service with this Sprint deal and on my first bill was slammed with 'device protection insurance' which I did not consent (why would I on a BYOD device?).
I have spent over an hour on three separate calls trying to get Indian reps to credit Sprint's error. Finally the third's supervisor admitted they aren't allowed to since the service is "free". Does ANYONE have an American customer service number that can be reached??
I think if you ask for retention department there's a big chance you'll get a US based rep. :-)

Thanks for the advice, that's exactly what I did and to success (for anybody else with future issues who wants to resolve in one try).

because of blatant abuse of this "trick", now even calls to detentions dept are being handled by the reps in the Philippines

From reading this thread people can SWAP phones right away/couple of days. I have a S6 unlocked (original from Sprint) on Tello but I use a google number.

Can I use a "placeholder" IMEI (iphone from the old R+ days) to sign up for this deal? I do not have the phone, just the IMEI number.

The IMEI and google phone number say it's eligible on the Sprint website. It says they would ship a SIM card ($2.99 +$10).

Would I actually need access to the physical iphone before I swap with my current S6 phone?

Any issues I should be aware of since I'll get an iphone SIM and then swap with a Samsung S6, which has a different SIM?

i would like to know too. I was told last night, you need to use the same phone for 120 days before you can swap. if you do it earlier, then you won't be on the free plan anymore.
