Not everyone lives where you live. And not everyone gets crappy service from Sprint. I live in Chicago suburbs and I get signal where ever I go. Data is slower than the other big 3, but is usable for my needs. It's always ymmv. I'm saving $100 per month thanks to slickdeals and this promotion.
Lol no farking shit not everyone lives where I live. Do I really need to specify that my experience in NYC 2+ years ago doesn't apply to everyone in the country today? I'm just sharing my own real life long term experience.

I want to save the $$ too but if everything is as awful as it was when I had sprint back then, I have to really think about it before making the switch given my particular area.

Live in Westchester 45 mins from midtown, I have seem 100Mpbs from some area and average 10-20Mbps, I travel to the city a few times per week and never have problem with Sprint reception given that I pay $4. Which any other plan would cost me 10 times $40 at least.

If you cant take advantage this is too bad for you.
Good for you, but like I told the other guy, I shouldn't have to specify that my 2+ years ago experience in NYC doesn't apply to everyone else outside of NYC. It's obvious that service can vary depending on location. I'm just stating my own personal long term experience in NYC.

TBH I was hoping someone would chime in and say NYC service has improved greatly just like TMobile has but it doesn't seem to be the case.

I am a tello user and had trouble getting this deal. I called the promotion number 866-782-8777 three times and still not able to get it done. I am very honest and told them I am using tello which used sprint network. Is this the reason? Is tello absolutely not qualified for this promotion? Thanks for any advice.
If you read the 1000 posts in here it seems like a few ppl ported in from Tello BUT the general consensus is that you can't. The best is to port to tmobile pay as you for $10 then port to Sprint. You'll need a tmo phone though.

I'm sure this has been asked but can i purchase the boost mobile moto e4 and use it on this plan? Or does the phone need to actually be unlocked?

Nobody can port in directly from Tello, they are a Sprint mvno. Like you said need to port out of Tello to non sprint carrier. Then you can port in to Sprint. Also if the phone you will be using was on Tello you will need to have flag PBLB changed to SPCS.

This promotion doesn't work with the Sprint phone (include Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobil phone)

Lease? That's an awful deal.
50% off is a bad deal, lol! It's only a bad deal if you're dumb and turn the device in after 18 months. I don't think you know how these leases work with Sprint.

You cannot use Boost Moto E4 as initial phone to activate plan.

However Frys has the unlocked Moto E4 for $99 right now. That works on this plan.

agree..pretty good deal..depending on what the buy out price is at the end of lease (x)

1. $700 full price

2. lease: $29.17 x 18 (months) = $525.......but u have only paid $262 ....then u have $263 as off setting credit...so u have paid $525 towards the phone.....now when lease is over...u will have the option to buy the phone at $x....what this x is will be set at the beginning of the lease.....if x =$175 (ie 700-525)...then u will have paid $437 ($262 +$175) ,,,and u own the phone..

not bad..

I signed up with 2 lines (for my 2 teens) a couple of weeks ago using a Moto G4 Play and a refurbished Sprint Samsung GS6... everything working well so far. No the fastest LTE in my area (I'm in the DFW area) but can't get any better for a total of $8.xx tax per month. THANK YOU OP!!!!!

That's not really correct. I don't think you understand how Sprint's leases work. Sprint's monthly payment in an 18-month lease are basically the sale price divided by 24 (so the same as a 24 month installment plan). Buyout at the end of a lease is simply an amount equal to 6 more monthly payments.

https://www.sprint.com/en/support...lease.html

So 50% off is 50% off. It's a great deal.

i am pretty sure it is u that is mistaken...

look at what i posted./..run the numbers...it is not 50%...even based on what u have said...it is 50% off 18 months,,,the other 6 months ($175)....are not discounted...

infact as u said..700/24 = 29.17...then a payout of 175 (29.17 x 6) ...which is excatly what i posted

Thanks for the correction. You're right. Those last 6 months aren't discounted, so it's about 37.5% off not 50%.

Sprint says it has made major upgrades in NYC.
http://newsroom.sprint.com/sprint...-apple.htm

Various reviews agree it has made significant improvements there - if you search you can find some (Open Signal etc.).

However, it is still not as good as others though, most reviews say.

I do not live there though. You would really have to try it.
