Which step exactly do you get stuck on on the self service swap? So far I'm able to get to the last step the activate page but I don't want to click activate since I'm online checking IMEI's from iPhones that I want to purchase on eBay and Craigslist. I ultimalty just want to buy a used or new phone fro, eBay, Craigslist, Swappa and then swap out my sim from my IPhone 6 plus to my new iPhone.
From my experience, it will fail at the very last step. It will tell you to call or chat with them.

Understood, thanks for your reply. Have you been able to swap out your sim to other devices without having any problems? I'm trying to buy unlocked or Sprint iPhone 7's from eBay or Craigslist but am unsure is I'll be able to just swap out the sim from my iPhone 6 Plus.

just swapping the SIMS won't work with Sprint you have to chat or call to do a device swap (IMEI swap)

Are you able to do it in a Sprint store as well? I'm planning on using a Sprint store as a place for buying a phone from Craigslist.

here is my bill:

$7.52.
$5 wasn't taken out (takes 1 - 2 bill cycle, but...)
a quick call to a very nice csr overseas
$5 credit applied.
saw in within 15 minutes on my account
$2.52 will charged to my card in ~ 10 days or so
Which number did you use to contact Sprint? I'm having the same issue where the $5 auto pay discount isn't applying to my bill.

I opened an account around first week of July and ported in a second number about a week back. The first line is showing upgrade eligible on jul 1st 2019 and the second one sep 1st 2019. Is anyone else having the same issue? I expected it to be 10-1-2017 n 12-1-2017.
I also joined in July and at the time it said Oct. 17 for upgrade eligble date with flex lease now says July 2019. WTF with changing the date?

Can we use the 6 month Tidal subscription under the free year plan? I haven't tried it yet since I didn't want to screw anything up on my account.
It should not cause a problem. If they offer it to you, they offer it to you.

I think some people reported selecting it ok.

Sorry, I read multiple posts. still could not figure this out.

I have a Boost LG Tribute HD, previously registered on R+, Ting and lately FP. Right now, it was deactivated from FP. Checked with Ting and Swappa ESN checker, they are all good.

The flag has been changed to SPCS. However, Sprint CSR was unable to swap in Tribute, as on their end is shown as "incompatible device" . I am trying to figure out what the reason is. Is it due to a) device not in Sprint DMD? b) because it failed FED?

Sprint CSR asked to pay a visit to repair center. Does it help on solving a), or b), or none of them?

As explained before, changing the flag only works for Tribute HD's sold originally for use on Sprint postpaid (or served out 12 months on Boost as noted by DeltaMajor156).

There is no way you will ever activate that phone on Sprint postpaid. Prepaid FED check means nothing.

I tried with 2 similar phones that were rejected. I now have two Tribute HD's activated on this plan, but I had to obtain them on EBay, looking specifically for ones that were sold for PostPaid.

I explained all this before but I know it is difficult to find things in this long thread.

Not without committing fraud. Sprint has the original records of the entire history of use of that phone. They started going through them for one of my prepaid Tribute HD's and were starting to contact the previous MVNO's to verify the history.

Sprint is extremely vigilant to prevent the use of Prepaid phones on Postpaid (since the same phone is sold at a much lower subsidized price for Prepaid).

So I was on with CSR chat and asked about the upgrade date changing to 2 years and the following is what chat said in response. I probalby will not do an upgrade but if it helps anyone else.

Rose M.: I check it here, your account may have started the service last July and normally it is 24 months to be able to upgrade but no worries I check here since you are under the promotion to upgrade by October 1 2017,no worries all you need to do is to call 866 782 8777 for the dedicated team and for direct assistance for upgrading phone.

Rose M.: You can upgrade to a new Sprint phone on Sprint Flex after 10/1/17 and continue to enjoy their free year of service. Any upgrades before 10/1/17 will require a plan change to Unlimited Freedom and customer will lose the remaining free months in their year of free service plan.
