Wow ! 79.66mbps in State College PA ! I thought I had to makedo with 3mbps in Austin TX78749( as someone said on the post). But I discovered the speed varies widely. My Iphone6(running on band 25,26) can get up to 7mbps in places where the signal is barely 2 bars. At 2AM in the morning I get up to 12-19 mbps by my window. Anyway I am glad I ported to Spring.
Have you upgraded to iOS 11 ??

I never received those speeds before prior to updating to 11. When I signed up for sprint, I did multiple roaming updates, network reset etc..etc. Took the sim out, let the network reset/update whatever the procedure is. So for a while I thought I could do everything to get the best speed possible, ios 11 happened and my max speedtest was 81mbps and 51mbps 5 miles down the road. This was all done at 2-3pm est time.

Let me know if you have updated to iOS 11 and see if signal is better along with speed.

Thanks

You will walk 3 blocks and get 1mb or drop to 3g. That is the problem with sprint 100mbs in some areas and completely unusable in other. Most people want good coverage with avrg speeds instead of super fast speeds and terrible coverage.

Lucky you.. I live in a b41 rolled out area but constantly drop to ban 25/26 and 3g because band 25 is overloaded.

I ported out and got this service through the web without any issues.

Now want to do the same for wife.

Does anyone know a method for getting another BYOD Sprint sim for free?

The stores wont give you one because they make zero commision off of you. They prob wont even sell you one of their rip off sims for 25 dollars. Your best bet is to buy a boost tri sim from bestbuy for 9.99

Port out and back in. That's my best guess.

The sprint website says $3. It also says available at sprint stores.

Yep good luck with that. One of the reasons I left sprint in the first place was because of the run around it came with sim cards. For one thing there are like 8 different sim cards. So the store is stingy with them or they really don't have them. They pretty much wont give them to you. If they do they will charge you 25 dollars for BYOD kit.. Like I said they get ZERO commission and they want nothing to do with you.

I remember when I bought an unlocked 5x I called or went to 6 different stores. All of them refused to give me or sell me one or they didn't have a sim card. The most bullshit thing I have ever had to deal with.

Look at the cluster farks its not just me..

I'd like to cancel the TMobile data plan on iPad and switch to Sprint.

Does anyone know if data phone number can be ported out to Sprint as a voice service (I'd use then use the HotSpot feature)?

If it is Iphone, try Apple store. They routinely give out Sprint SIM for free.

Well, here's my experience so far:

I went to the link and filled out the information, but the website was unable to verify my identity or credit and told me to call Sprint. I called them and told them about the free service and they tried and could not verify my account, but told me to go to the store to present two forms of ID. This went against the rules of the promo, but they told me it was the only way and the store should be able to help. I then went to the store and told them the story and they said they can't help me unless I want to activate a new line with them for a price.

I think we're still overpaying for Sprint service.
