Call sprint store, mine did not have any
Its not about whether they have it in stock or not. its about whether they would sell/give it to you if you are not activating a line at the store. I tried to get it at the store in New York [Midtown] and they refused after making me wait for 30 mins only to get a "No".So good luck!

I work for corporate. You can also validate this if you call sprint telesale number in wiki. Memo is already released internally.

The goal is the byod free plan was to juice up subscriber counts for the T-Mobile merger discussion and negotiations which is close to completion.

Thanks for confirming. My VZW contract ends next week so looks like I'm SOL.

will your penalty be more than how much you'll save in a year of free cell phone service? if Verizon's penalty is $100, i'd switch to Sprint tomorrow.

Funny that I jumped from T-Mobile to Sprint for this deal! Now, will I get free Netflix?

It appears that the deal requires port-in from postpaid account, is this rule actually enforced? I am currently with Red Pocket Mobile using Verizon MVNO (prepaid), my phone number and IMEI passed the eligibility checker and my SIM card is on the way. So any experience porting from MVNOs? Should I port to an postpaid say ATT account first to be safe?

Not enforced at all. Everyone is porting from Prepaid. Reps will confirm it is fine.

1. Could someone please let me know whether Note 8 is eligible for this free 1-year offer.?
2. I have already opened sprint account in a local store but don't have any device or plans added to it? Is there will be any problem porting an att number in for 1 year free plan.?
Re 2, I personally think it may be ok PROVIDED you do it tomorrow Saturday. After that will be too late.

Stores have been ok to set up (empty) ACCOUNTS only, but not plans, provided there is nothing at all on the account. But do NOT set up the plan at a store. You must actually initiate an actual phone and number on this BYOD plan Saturday on line or via telesales. Double check when doing so that it is free.

Well I just opened another account under a different social. Existing account I opened a few months back has the old 7/31/18 plan expiration date. I only need 2 lines. Not sure if I'll close the first account and transfer the line over or keep separate accounts. Asked the rep if they are extending the promo again and he had no clue.

I'm thinking after the t-mobile merger goes through there might be some benefits to having multiple sprint accounts. Like maybe they will offer some enticements to get sprint customers to switch over to t-mobile or something lol.
