I asked this very question to a Sprint phone rep and he kept on telling me the free 1 year will end on 7/31/18 for any number of lines opened which was the end date the first time this offer came out. No matter how much I explained to him I opened my first line in Sept so one year should run through Sept 2018 but he didn't understand and told me he has verified it with the supervisor. It doesn't make any sense. In the end I just didn't want to take any risk and availed the promo by opening a separate new line and account for my spouse. So we would have our 1 year free independent of each other. I would recommend you do the same.
I doubt if adding a second line later will extend the 1 year free for both lines. At best it might do it for the second line only.
Hi!

If your first line opened in Sept, the rest of your new lines that are added later will end 09/30/2018 as well.

Seriously.. if you really want a new device then they said you have to upgrade from sprint only. You can not swap an unlocked device
I've been swapping unlocked devices with no issues. The latest swap was just a couple of weeks ago. I would call and call until I find the right rep.

You can check by logging in your account and click to see details of plan (show more information next to phone, then click the + sign next to Unlimited- Bring Your Phone). It should tell you when it will become the regular plan of 1st line $60/mth...

Please suggest best way to contact sprint where I get the correct solution
Going to a store is just asking for trouble.
Swap over chat. Simplest way to do it.

(People have warned against doing anything with this plan in a store over a million times on this thread. Not sure why people keep trying to get things done in a store with this plan Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) )

There is no risk going store. Just don't let them modify your plan. They can't do that without your consent

There are stories here and on Reddit that would show otherwise.

They infer your consent if you give them your number or account number and ask them to do anything. They make account changes for people all day long and just bias them toward commission-generating sales. Plus they're not trained on the free plans so do all requests using paid plans. Not all stores, but quite a few.

I know that now they won't do it for people who just recently signed up but for those who signed up back in June/July like me did not saw those exclusions on the promotion page ...
I have not read of any success in at least 2 months.

Tello is a Sprint mvno so you are considered to be active with sprint and don't qualify for this deal.
Your phone number will not qualify, you need to port to a non-sprint carrier to have it qualify for this deal.
Your phone will not qualify as it is considered active on sprint. You need to make it inactive by porting out of tello, cancelling account or replacing it with another device. Also Sprint flags phones used on sprint mvno's or pre-paid(PLBL). This flag on the phone needs to be changed to SPCS before being able to qualify for this deal. Literallyunlimited on reddit can change this for you but phone needs to be inactive first.
Maybe you can help me out.

My GF has a 406 area code (Montana) & iPhone 6s VZW.

Sprint support said they can't port in her number because sprint doesn't have service in that area. We currently live in PA where sprint does have service.

Is there a work around on this? I asked if her 6s info can be entered manually into their DB but said that wouldn't work.

Maybe you can port in a new GV number ($3 to unlock) from PA then port her old number to GV ($20) and have the calls forwarded to the new number.
