FYI anyone who signed up for this deal back in the early days (June) I was finally able to get my referal rewards paid. I, like many others on this thread, referred others to the BYOD plan before they updated the terms to exclude it. I believe they actually put the new language in at the start of July. Regardless, going back and fourth a few times stating the original terms that were in place when I referred they eventually gave in, $500 in gift cards!! If I've done my math correctly it means they paid me $464.48 to use them this year 😄! Great customer service lol! So just giving a heads up to the early adopters to not just give up! Now on to the AA bonus...

2 days ago I took this promotion and when I logged into my account I'm seeing that I'm eligible for an upgrade. I'm not really trying to upgrade (I'm happy with my Nexus 6P) but can I really take the upgrade option and still have the same promo offer? What is the guarantee that once I take the phone upgrade and they say Oh!! you no longer to have the promo free offer??
Also, if anyone already took the upgrade option, which phone you took it and how much you paid for it? I hope everyone gets the same price.

I wouldn't bother to avoid hassle

Their system is slow to update so in a couple days it'll show that you're eligible to upgrade in 2 years -- their system will update it again after 120 days when you're actually eligible under this promo

Wanted to thank the SD community and this massive thread...

Was able to activate a new Moto G5S Plus (US model XT1806, bought straight from Lenovo/Motorola) by porting my Google Voice number. All done successfully over the phone with Sprint.

I was wary of which SIM to use... the Ting SIM information + contacting 2x local Sprint stores confirmed that the Moto G5S Plus accepts SIMOLW416Q or SIMGLW416Q... I was able to use the SIMGLW416Q ordered for free from Twigby's site mentioned here (free after a whistelout promo code). The Google Voice port and Sprint sign up was relatively painless (except for the Equifax Fraud Alert extra confirmation steps I put myself through). The GV port did hang but I used the Sprint porting website & number listed in the wiki - after a 5 minute phone call my "invalid sim" messages were resolved after a phone reboot. Sprint account confirms that I have the plan savings valid through 10/31/2018.

How do I find/how do I know which Sprint stores are "corporate" when running their store locator?

I'm late to the game on this one but would like to try to switch my five Cricket lines (paying $100/mo) to Sprint. I've read through about 100 pages on this thread and my head is spinning. So forgive me if this is redundant but I want to make sure I'm doing this correctly.

I have three iPhones that pass the IMEI eligibility test. Would it be best for me to quickly buy two phones to replace the Cricket phones that won't transfer and then sign all five lines up at once? Or should I activate the three phones now and then add the other two later when I get the new phones?

Where is the best place to shop for compatible phones and what specifically do I need to look for? For instance, it says that the Motorola E4 phone works but my husband's old Verizon Motorola E is not showing as eligible. I just want to make sure that I don't buy a phone only to find out that it doesn't work. So I need to be able to activate it first on Cricket (ATT) and then transfer it to Sprint. Does that mean I need to look specifically for an unlocked phone?

I think I'm just going to keep it simple and pay for the Sprint SIM cards when I order the service.

Thanks for your ideas/suggestions!

Understandable. Anything to do with Sprint is complicated.

Time is essence here. Nobody knows when this deal will be ended (best educated guess is 10/30 though). For your last 2 lines, do you care phone #? If not, you can sign up with a placeholder phone with GV #.

Try swappa.com for your phone purchase. Compared to Ebay or Craiglist, IMEI of all phones have been pre-screened by Swappa staff. Make sure you buy unlocked all-carrier phones.

what phones do u have now?
how important are the current phone numbers?

u have options....but as mentioned above...time may be running out soon..

my suggestion...get one of the moto phones that is compatible across all carries..

like this for example (note it may not be currently the cheapest, fastest, but will work for your needs... [amazon.com]

would recommend switch all 5 lines at once

edit: apple store will give u sprint sim card for ur 3 iphones for free

Thanks for your help.
1. Currently we have an iPhone 6, iPhone 6S, iPhone SE, Samsung Galaxy Amp (bought through Cricket) and Samsung Galaxy Amp Prime (also bought through Cricket). The three iPhones all appear to be compatible (using the Sprint site to check). The two phones purchased through Cricket do not appear to be compatible.

2. The Galaxy Amp Prime is my husband's business line so it's important that we don't lose that number. The fifth line is Grandma and it doesn't really matter what her phone # is because she doesn't give it out.

3. Closest Apple store is an hour away so I'm planning on just buying SIMS through Sprint.

4. Thanks for the link to MOTO E. I just ordered the Moto G5 Plus through Amazon.

I will have the G5 by Saturday. As soon as I have the phone I will order the SIM cards. Might try to figure out how to do GV for the placeholder for the fifth line. Hopefully, I will have SIM cards by Monday and will get this all switched over. I'm pretty sure this will go through the end of the month but my Cricket month renews on the 27th so I need to get this done before then.

Thanks again!

I would move the lines eligible 1st to lock into the deal. Add with non eligible ones later as and when you get the phone. GV details are in wiki. It's pretty simple, I have done it.
Get sims using sprint store if not I would try Best Buy. It's important you get compatible sims.

Tried this today. I had switched from Sprint to Verizon earlier in the week and tested out the quick check online and it said I was eligible to port back over. Apparently, the Airave attached to my old Sprint account was still considered an active line. I would have thought they would have cancelled it automatically when I left Sprint. I guess that is what I get for assuming anything would just work with Sprint. They cancelled it, but then informed me I had to wait 45 days before I could sign up for this promo.

Is there anyway to get around that?
