Is there any way I can purchase an iPhone under the iPhone Upgrade Program (financed through Apple) and move the device to one of my lines?
Is there no one who has purchased an Iphone under their current Apple Upgrade Program either been successful (or have been refused) in transferring it to the Free Plan? Apple specifically states that "Your Plan Will Not Change" with this program.

apparently the trained drones can't activate my old galaxy s3, said they need a sim card..

however what i did in a previous line was to activate an I phone with sim card and do an esn
swap swapping in an old nexus phone.. so i'm going to try that route with this s3.

So the original deal "expired" or was to expire 06/30/17 with free until 07/31/18. . .i.e. 13 months or more depending how early you got in.

the current ad says "free" through 10/31/18. . .only a week or so until its no longer a "free year"

They will have to extend the 2018 date soon or end the deal for now. . .

Do you think they will extend, end, or pop back up just before BF ???

Yes, I ported a FreedomPop number but it takes a "very very long time for the porting".
How long total did it take to port your FreedomPop number out to Sprint? Do you have to do any additional work from FreedomPop side to release the number?

I successfully added a new line today to my free plan. The number is porting from FreedomPop. It has been a few hours now and the phone still say no service, and the FreedomPop line still working. What happens if the porting failed?

Yes. Bought the 7 under the Apple plan while with Verizon. Switched to the Sprint BYOD plan without issue. Still paying the 40 bucks a month for another year while I pay 3 bucks for Sprint.

What happens if I lose or break my own phone and don't have replacement insurance?
If the phone you bring to Sprint through the Unlimited - Bring Your Phone promotion is lost or breaks, you have options that allow you to keep your first year of free service:
** You can purchase a Sprint phone at full manufacturer's retail price, or
** Swap out a different eligible phone although a new Sprint SIM may be required

I do not know and it may be difficult to get a determination because many reps do not even acknowledge the existence of this provision in the first place.
