not sure if being on Project Fi will be a problem, since it's partially on tmobile and sprint and sprint reps are very incompetent...he can try the direct port to sprint, or he can port to another prepaid provider to make the port easier. Maybe one on att or verizon would make it smoother, since porting to tmobile could still prove to be a problem to go from Fi to prepaid tmobile
If you re on Fi, do you have the same number on google voice? If so, it costs $3 to port out onto Sprint during the sign up. This is what I had to do.

So free roaming to Canada too? Is international roaming limited to the amounts allowed for domestic roaming?
You can add Mexico Canada unlimited for $5 under services on mysprint

Honestly I don't get why people say sprint is so bad...

I live in a rural area so after reading some reviews I was a bit skeptical but thought it was worth a shot, especially at the free price...

Porting was a breeze. I ported a Google Voice number and it took one day and after I called the number to unblock something that happens with GV port ins I had it working in 2 min.

Reception has been pretty good where I am at... I'm reaching 14 Mbps and 6 Mbps upload which is pretty good imo... Coverage has been good too.

In 2 weeks never lost reception. I visited Philadelphia this past 2 days and speeds are around 25 Mbps symmetrical... It's a no brainer to ppl that live in urban areas...

Also, I am now in Europe and the FREE roaming is so handy!! Are you freaking kidding me? I get unlimited 3G in Europe? I did a speed test and it says speed is very low at 0,1 Mbps but something is off because web pages load pretty fast - about 5 secs... And I can stream YouTube albeit slower than in us... Which is not important, if I'm traveling all I want usually is Facebook... Whatsapp.. Google maps... And ability to use apps such as Uber, hostels etc...

Also free texting!! I'm loving it... Too bad it's only 1 year free!!
Don't forget, you can add a international pass to your account by the day or weekly.

I m with you on this deal. I m in PA and they rolled out the LTE PLUS. Ironically after updating to iOS 11 my speeds starting going ballistic! 81Mbps 76-4-Mbps buy of course when I go off course, the speed goes to 8-14mbps but who cares!!! Shit still loads quickly at that speed LoL

My fiancé just got on board too! What seeemd to Work on getting the data speed up is make sure you are on Strong LTE signal/speed!!!

then clear Sprints info

##CLEAR# this will deactivate your phone.

Then ##UPDATE#

This worked for her 6s

Check posts #11194 to #11199.

There is a fee with voice in Canada. Text is free. Not so sure about data because of the wording on the bill.

Check my post (#11196). My son was charged 98 US cents for a 2-minute call, but not text or data. However, the heading for data suggests there may be a fee. He only used 5KB of data and was not charged. The heading for data on the bill does not say it is free.

Free BYOD plan is different from regular paid plans in terms of charges for international roaming.

It is advisable to double check with Sprint BYOD promo line.
Yes calls are 20 cents/min... Text and data are free. Confirmed by CSR and also the text I received from sprint system when landing

Data pass is for high speed LTE which I haven't had the need for it... Speed has been great... And the prices they charge for the pass it'd be easier to just buy a monthly plan in the country I'm at... 15$ for 1 month and 5 GB and sim card included. R so far I haven't had the need to even resort to that

I don't see the option to add unlimited Canada/Mexico Roaming, Premium International Roaming, or International Data Passes under "Add Services" in MySprint. The only International options that I see are to Block International Roaming and Roaming while on Cruise Ships. Anyone else on the free plan seeing the other options?

Finding it impossible to get sprint to add a second line. They are saying it is no longer available, its not available by phone activation etc. And there is no way to add on line.

Any suggestions, besides starting another 45 min call>??

Call the promo number @ 866-782-8777

If that's the number you called then try again later so you get another rep

Had pre-ordered two unlocked Note 8s for my girlfriend and I, as well as Sprint Sim cards, direct from Samsung as part of that Note 7 promo.

Phones showed eligible, but since I had Sim cards I was able to call the phone number and get two lines activated within about 10 minutes. I was expecting some problems from this thread, but I think I got lucky with a great phone rep. It's saving us about $100 a month from AT&T, so we're happy so far. Thanks for posting.

I think it phone call strictly. But you can make the call and just have her agree to the terms?

Activation online works as long as you order the SIM from Sprint when you call.
