Yes, but you may have to open it under a relatives or friends Social Security number since you already opened a "regular" account.
Hurry, may be over on the 31st.
Thanks for the reply. If I go ahead and cancel the account, wouldn't that mean I would no longer have an account with them?

you need to go in or call a store, talk to a manager, and get the IMEI of the nexus phones added to the database.
i ported out of sprint to go to google fi, thne cricket, and effectively that removed the IMEI out of sprint's database. It took a few days after talking to a manager at sprint for the IMEI to now show eligble.
seriously? You're answering questions from 4 months ago on page 6 of 775, long since answered?? LMAO

Will a sprint locked device work? I've used unlocked sprint phones but wanted to make sure a sprint locked phone will work.

They keep you SS# on file for several months, and will only let you reactivate the old account.

Contract would be paid off but I'm not sure they would immediately unlock it without asking. It took about a week for them to unlock the last phone I paid off after I asked.

If it's from you own paid Sprint account, they probably won't let you move to a free account so quickly. If it's from someone else's account, they probably won't let you use it until it's unlocked.

Did they take the account information from your Free Sprint account? If so, it is unknown what may occur when that charge hits your Sprint account and whether it affects your free status.
I assume your port to the X is complete. If so, you can call 866-782-8777 to see if the upgrade fee has hit your account, and to make sure that line is still coded for the Free Year plan.

If I already have a line with this free plan and would like to add the second line, can I use an inactive phone for the second line? Does the second phone must be active with an eligible phone number? Thanks!

Has anyone successfully ported an iPhone 7 Plus (SIM Free) version to this plan? I understand that the list says only Verizon version is eligible but I guess it is because ATT/Tmobile versions do not support CDMA. However, the sim-free version is unlocked and does support CDMA and GSM.

My phone uses Tello (on the sprint network) now so the online check shows it is not eligible. Just wanted to make sure sim-free version is allowed before I cancel Tello.

Inactive phone is ok, but you DO need to port a line. But, just get yourself a T-mobile Sim and activate it Prepaid without funding it and you can x-fer right away. Also, note desi's advice above. HURRY!

Take desi's advice above (and follow any other advice that she gives you ;-)) and get a line quickly even if you need to get a cheap phone @ BestBuy just to get the account active. You can always xfer phones later. And yes, the Iphone 7 Plus (SIM Free) SHOULD work.
