This is the plan.
1. Open two new lines with new number in my wifes name. Hopefully i can open without a phone in hand.
2. Port out both lines to somwhere else for couple of months(any suggestions where). I will have to pay $220 termination fee for one of the lines but i guess i will be fine in the long run.
3. Wait for 60 days and then port the number back to the new lines opened with sprint.
Will this work. I don't want to loose my number.
Thanks.
Hi! "Someone" is back! -)

No, cannot open a "Free" line without eligible device (or at least ESN) in hand. (BestBuy Moto E4 unlocked works).
Cannot get new numbers under this plan. Need to be ported in from "somewhere", but can be SIM/Number that you activated from T-mobile prepaid minutes before you register for the new service.
Also, lines you open need to have at least some use until you can port your numbers over.

It can be done, but you need to move FAST!

how did you guys do the phone swap once you are in the plan? I try to swap old iphone 6+ to new iphone 8+ using the same sim card and it failed. The customer support from that 866 number saying my old sim card working in 6+ is not compatible with 8+ and try to deactive it first then active it on the 8+. I've spent more than 2 hours with them already and still on the phone now..... sigh...

It is pretty easy. Go to https://www.twigby.com/shop/twigb...s/simcards and choose your phone and have the sim card shipped to your home. Call sprint with the new sim number and activate your new phone. If you have Apple store you can get the sim for free as well.

If I already have a line with this free plan and would like to add the second line, can I use an inactive phone for the second line? Does the second phone must be active with an eligible phone number? Thanks!
Yes, you would need a device and a number to port. I used GV number to port, costs $3

Thank you all for the help. I will go to apple store to get a new sprint sim card then. I called several customer support from that 866 number, and one guy even told me that if I swap a new phone it will stop my free plan. But they do allow user to swap a new phone to replace the old broken or lost phone.
