I'm sorry for sounding like a retard, but if the plan is free for the first year, why does autopay need to be enabled from the get go? just for monthly taxes and fees? A little unclear on that point.
Also what is to keep people from jumping ship after the free year is up? you're not tied to a 2 year contract, correct? I'm thinking of switching from cricket to either this plan or the boost 4x100 plan.

Is there some catch with this one that I'm not aware of? Also, I'm sure it's been mentioned but I didn't see it, but boost phones are eligible for this right?

Two Questions:
1. Placing calls to a non US number: Can we add International Connect: Call & Text add-on - $15/mo? FAQ on BYOD Free one year plan - "It does not include calling from the U.S. to international locations, but you can easily add international calling to your plan.
2. Anyone has used Sprint Global Roaming feature when travelling abroad ( In FAQ, they are saying it already included). url https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/br...phone=byod

Thanks in advance for your answers

1. Yes
2. Not bad/serviceable/usable for email, basic web browsing/voip. I wouldn't plan on watching any movies.

Wow really? I thought that list of phones were dual SIM enabled (gsm/cdma) like the Nexus 6p. So no other Sprint or boost Mobile phone is eligible except those listed?

Leave whenever you want -- Sprint is just trying to gain customers at any cost to improve their numbers if merger with TMo goes through and to help their stock

Plan is $5/mo plus taxes/fees -- you get $5 discount for auto pay making it free plus taxes/fees

Amazing, it's a no brainer at 5 a month for premium speed and service compared to mvno plans

Sorry, 2 more questions guys. Right now I have 2 lines with cricket. My nexus 6p will port over np, but the wife's phone isn't eligible. If I understand correctly, I need to buy 2 sims, and a new phone for her, activate the sims, then call in and sign up for the deal porting her # to one of them and mine to the other correct?
If I want to add a 3rd or 4th line but don't have numbers to port, I will be able to do so as long as I have new sprint sims and compatible phones, correct?

also does anyone know if I can use cheap boost phones for the 4th line? I know they're not on the list but they are sprint phones. I understood the list to be multi carrier compatible phones, like the nexus 6p?
meaning that if you have one of those phones with another carrier, you're gtg to swap them to sprint. however if you don't have one of the phones on the list, you need a sprint branded phone?

No, you don't need to buy SIM's (and may not want to since time is short). Most efficient way is to have compatible device and porting information, and do everything online. Sprint will overnight you the proper SIM.
Adding lines also need ports, new numbers not allowed. However, you can use T-Mobile SIM, activate over the phone on prepaid, and port immediately thereafter. T-Mobile SIM can be obtained for free from Apple store.
I do not believe that Boost or other Sprint Branded phones (not on the list) will work, but others may chime in.
Hurry.

Yeah, in that case you have in theory broken your old iphone. Cool Switch it off and then call ...
So someone can't just buy not subsidized Apple iPhone and swap with current phone, old phone has to be broken or full price "upgrade" needs to be ordered through Sprint?

Dude you can't get both to work at the same time. Sprint's CDMA network only allows data or voice at a time- they haven't upgraded to VoLTE like Verizon does
My S8 has now Calling Plus which allows voice & data on LTE

I agree, but I also think it makes it more likely this deal won't be extended. I may be/I hope I am wrong. However, I will feel bad if there are posts on Tuesday night (BOO) by people who waited too long and the offer is gone. Again, I am not predicting that it will end, but it's foolish to assume otherwise if you want this great deal.

HURRY!
