Dude you can't get both to work at the same time. Sprint's CDMA network only allows data or voice at a time- they haven't upgraded to VoLTE like Verizon does

Has anyone been able to activate online?

I've maxed out on lines and will use my wife's name. She's not into calling though
Just call to activate new line- you can activate up to 5 free lines per account.

Google Voice works, but ports are sometimes slightly problematic and can take a few days. If you can get a hold of a T-Mobile SIM, they will allow you to activate it by calling T-Mobile activations without funding it, and you can then port it out.

Thank you so much for your response. I was able to get my T-mobile sim card activated without funding. I wound up having to call and it took two hours but was able to get the number ported to Sprint from T-mobile. Seriously, I don't know how many times they asked me if I was SURE that I did not want to pay 44 cents a day to protect my device.

Glad it worked out for you! :-) In spite of the naysayers, I think you'll find it a great service for the price! (You can't blame them for pushing the device protection; it's the only way they can make a commission on this deal)!

Sprint S8 does offer simultaneous voice and data (LTE Calling beta) but only in the Sprint version, not the unlocked version. You can flash it to the Sprint version to get this feature. See XDA or S4GRU Samsung S8 thread for details.

What type of proof requires do you need to provide sprint in order to qualify? Other than credit check.

Am I correct in understanding that discounted 2 year sprint contract price on Iphone x on Apple.com would knock me off this plan but Apple upgrade program would not?
If you want to upgrade and keep your free plan, then you must upgrade through Sprint. Upgrading at other outlets like Apple, Best Buy, or Target will automatically switch you to the $60 plan. Sprint believes that it's leasing offer with qualified trade-in is the best value for the iPhone X. It's cheaper monthly by a few dollars ($50 total) compared to the other carriers so you won't be able to price match. But I appreciate the enthusiasm.

What are you talking about?? They don't require any "proof" at all that I'm aware of. They do ask for a number ported in from Verizon or similar, but doesn't really matter where the port is from, as long as it's not a Sprint MVNO.
Just have to call the number for this promotion and the credit check is just par for the course opening a new line.

Don't they want a receipt that you are with AT&T, VERIZON, or tmobile?

do you see ANYWHERE where it say they do?? You're porting your phone number in. They can tell when they do it where it's coming from. Doesn't really even matter where it's coming from for the most part, as long as it's not from a Sprint service company. Even 'free' services like freedompop and Google Voice work. Try reading the wiki before asking questions that have been explained a dozens times already.

This thread is 700+ posts long and three months old, half of which is from people too lazy to even read the information collected in the wiki, but whom don't mind wasting others time by asking questions that... well aren't at all relevant. Ever time I look in, and answer another question, I loose a little more faith in humanity... and now you've done it. One too many. I've gone mad and need vengeance. Happy? It's all your fault. Stick Out Tongue
