Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Which android device would people recommend for using as a 2nd phone o n this plan?

Also what's the best slick deal way to active the phone (which carrier and plan) to get a number then transfer service to sprint?

That's a bad sign. The last time that happened was when they were updating their site for the Apple X. But, when that happened, all of sprint.com was down. Now, sprint.com is up, but the Free Year BYOD page is down.
Or, maybe (hopefully) they're updating the dates on the site to extend the offer (but that change should take about 5 min.).

We'll see......

Also funny: their website says: We'll be right back

We're adding more great stuff to our website.

Shopping doesn't stop! Just call us at:

866-275-1411

But if you call the number, it says "We're CLOSED"! laugh out loudlaugh out loudlaugh out loudlaugh out loudlaugh out loud

Moto E4 from Best Buy
Free T-Mobile SIM from Apple activated with a Pre-Paid plan without funding.

I have an Nexus 6 and I also have a freedom Pop active number but it says that my phone doesn't qualify for this offer... I even tried other numbers but no lucky.
I had ring plus a while ago on the Nexus 6 unlocked... Is that the reason?

I was starting to think change ownership flag from PLBL back to SPCS. But that is for Sprint phones as far as I know.

Is it possible it is still showing as active on Ting (which took over lines from RingPlus)?
What does the Ting checker say?
Otherwise, best call Sprint and see what they say. It may activate ok if they do it manually.

Ting IMEI Checker says the phone is compatible. It seems that my last resort is to call Sprint or try chatting with them.

Yes I would call the offer number first.

It might just go through when entered manually by them on their system. I had one phone that did so even though it had failed the eligibility checker. If not, they can look into why for you.

Is that also the cheapest way to take advantage of this deal? One of the $70 prepaid phones or the $130 unlocked E4s?

All of this is assuming it's still live, of course, which I assume we'll find out soon enough.

Yes, cheapest best and most available. Yes you must buy the unlocked version. If for some reason you want something else, buy that one today activate the plan, and you can always return it to Best Buy later. But, that is not a bad phone at all for the price and it has wonderful battery life

I checked Best buys return policy and it includes cell phones. But is there a restocking fee?

I just don't need it, though, so it'd be $130 for a phone I won't use.

Truth told, I probably wouldn't even really use the "free" Sprint plan, either. I have a Moto E 4G (not a Moto E4) from my RingPlus days that I liked using a beater (music player while mowing or working out, something I didn't care about if it got destroyed) and it was nice having a spare phone with actual service. For $4/month, I'd do it again. Not $130 + $4/month, though. And even if I were to activate with the phone and return it, I don't think I could use my Moto E.

I think there might be a restocking fee, but I've returned unopened phones before and never been charged.

Yes, but I'd be willing to absorb that for such a great one year free deal! :-)
