Anybody know the number or method of communication that can reach their "higher management?" It's been almost a week since I signed up for this and some other plan with charges and 2 year commitment is showing up under my account. Fyi, already called the 800 and 877 numbers and spoke with multiple CS who keep saying that it's all taken care of (but nothing has changed when I check my account).

I'm having issues and hoping someone here can help. My unlocked S7 phone was eligible and was able to port through fine. Got a sim mailed to me. But my phone can't connect to the Sprint service. It's stuck on "checking device status." Sprint Customer Service was no help. Also did a factory reset on my device. Anyone else got their S7 to work?

I signed up for the BYOD 1 Year Free online.
Received the SIM card.

For number porting, I had given my FreedomPop number but that number was marked as Inactive as it was dormant. So I activated a new number and provided it to them. FreedomPop declined the porting request.

Spoke to the Sprint agent and they issued me a new number but assured me my BYOD 1 year free still applies.

Now I see the plan as - "Unltd Freedom w/ AutoPay". I want to make sure that is infact the BYOD plan and I dont want to get slugged $65 for a Sprint line I wont be using :-)

What provider was your S7 with before, and who did you port your number from?

Go check your porting status online. Most of the time you need to call porting department.

"Unlocked" has two meanings. It has to be the universal "Open Market" model, which it is true is unlocked.

It cannot be a model sold for use on another carrier that has nonethless been unlocked (because these do not have the Sprint bands and are not in its database).

That is not free plan. You might as well cancel it since you won't be using it. Even if it was free plan it would get suspended for no usage I believe.

Airvoice Wireless, an ATT mvno. As for my phone, it's factory unlock. It's not carrier specific.

It's a factory unlock phone, I bought it from Best Buy, it does not have a carrier.

OK searching shows me that it is a fairly common problem with various Samsing models after switching carrier having to do with an "incompatible" prior configuration in the phone (even after hardware reset).

These instructions are for different models but see if they apply.

I've read the wiki and combed through hundreds of pages. I THINK the issue may be the SIM card they sent. The Moto E4 and S8 needed a specific SIM, which matches the one listed on the Ting website and proven success. The one they sent me (SIMOLW506C) does not match the S7 list. I guess my next step is to go to Best Buy and see if I can buy the SIMOLW416C version.

Will report back with results. Wish me luck.

Absolutely!

You can get the sim from Twigby for $2.99 if you can wait for the mail.
