Yes I referred my wife for the free plan and received $250. The $100 referral per line expired sometime in May.

You should get an email from sprint when someone uses your referral and another one exactly 31 days from when the referrer open their account. The status updates on the website is not very good.
Weird. When I started my referral, I got an email from them saying, "You're eligible to earn $100 per referral." Anyway, I guess I should contact the referral program to see if I could still get the referral credits. Thanks for the input.

Sprint said customers on free BYOD plan are not eligible for referral program (both ways, so you can't refer people either). As always, take Sprint responses with a grain of salt.

Yes just test the IMEI in the Sprint offer eligibility checker. Sprint does not know it is active on Mintsim so that does not interfere with the result in this case.

Moto G5 sim would likely be different from S6 sim because they are very dissimilar but you can check the lists on Ting to get the sim needed for each. Sprint has about 30 different sim parts and they are generally not interchangeable - you have to have the right one for your model.
Thanks again. The test didn't pass. But it is a sprint and unlocked Samsung phone and we used it on sprint MVNO earlier. Now using with Tmobile mvno. Surprised to know that it can't be used for the BYOD free 1 year plan.

Anyone know when this deal ends? My mintsim plan is up in March and want to bring my Essential Phone to Sprint
I went thru the IMEI + phone # checker, then filled in my address, SSN and birth date. I got a page "Your order requires additional processing

It's not you, it's us. We're sorry. We can't complete your order online, but give us a chat or a ring and we'll get you taken care of." w/the # 1-866-275-1411 or an option to visit the store.

I called the rep claimed the offer is over and they're trying to get it off the web site. They offered some other 5 lines for $100 deal (useless for me since I only need 1 line). So, now they're checking w/customer service.

Funny thing is if I do a Google search for sprint free service 1 year, they're still running a Google ad for
"Get Free Unlimited for 1 Year - Bring Your Phone to Sprint® - sprint.com‎
Adwww.sprint.com/1yearfree‎
Bring Your Phone & Switch to Sprint to Get Free Unlimited for 1 Year! See Terms."

I'll mention that to them if they give me a hard time.

(I'm using an iPhone 8 A1863 (https://everymac.com/systems/appl...specs.html) that I just went thru the unlock process on. It was on AT&T and I verified that a T-Mobile SIM works fine in it, unlike before the unlock process.)

Please read the wiki. You called telesales. You should only call the number mentioned in the wiki.

Ok. If this rep gives me the bad news, I'll call that number. You're referring to 866-782-8777, right?

I'm calling the number that Sprint's error page gives me, which didn't tell me to go a wiki. Smilie

You're still not understanding. The number Sprint shows you is for telesales who cannot help you. Nor can Sprint general customer service. Don't waste your time, just call the number mentioned in the wiki in this thread (page 1).

Thank you.

The 2nd rep they connected me to was useless, telling me the offer is over, to check in store offers, $100 for 5 lines, blah blah. Gotta love it when the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

1) I'm on the phone w/that number now (which funny enough used the term telesales themselves several times) but on hold. So far, things are going much better with them than the useless other number.

2) Yes, it does. I have A1863: https://everymac.com/systems/appl...specs.html.

The A1905 (https://everymac.com/systems/appl...specs.html from https://everyi.com/by-identifier/...ifier.html) will NOT work and even https://www.apple.com/iphone-8/specs/ mentions that about A1905.

I thought I explained that if it had been used on a Sprint mvno at any time it has to have the ownership flag flipped from PLBL to SPCS before it will pass the test. Sorry if I was not clear. You have just verified that you need to do so. Contact LiterallyUnlimited and he will flip the flag and then it will pass (or at the very least they can activate it manually at that point).

In your case, since you are on TMoble now, you can leave it on TMobile while getting the flag flipped. (Sprint does not know or care that it is on TMobile).

I have activated 3 different Sprint phones on this offfer - even a Dura XT flip phone!
