Reason why I asked is I have 2 LG Volts, formerly with the company that begins with the letter "R" and went belly. is there a way I can check to see if's compatible?
Check on the Sprint BYOD checker and the Ting BYOD checker. Did you remove the IMEIs from RP before it went belly up?

Currently free one year plan shows ATT s8 plus as eligible, i have tried the ESN and it worked as well. Do i need to flash the firmware before i use sprint sim on att s8 plus or would it work directly.

Now if they would add the S7 and S7 edge. Tried 5x instore+phone.
More people need to call and bug them till they add the identifiers onto the DMD Big Grin I am surprised the Note 8 is not added yet.

For best operation you would want to flash the Unbranded ROM or Sprint ROM .

It might certainly be interesting to try it first with the existing ROM to see if it would work at all.

However, my info. provides the following list of bands for the AT&T version so I do not think it would work well at all unless these specs have later been updated by OTA update.

Key Sprint LTE bands 25 and 26 appear to be missing and all Sprint voice bands appear to be missing if this list is still accurate (hopefully it is out of date now).!.

2G GSM: GSM850,GSM900,DCS1800,PCS1900

You have to flash if you want to use all the Sprint radio bands and features. Sprint cannot push the CSC to any AT&T device OTA (over the air) because of mismatched carrier identifier in the firmware. It's just not possible.

ADDED: Search for my posts if you want to mix and match the firmware files (AP, CP, CSC).

All carriers could conceivably have added the other carriers bands by their OTA by mutual agreement recently to facilitate interoperability.

Sprint could conceivably be counting on such an update already having been made on all S8/S8+ phones of all carriers.

I agree it may sound unlikely but the only alternative explanation is that Sprint has totally blown this broadening of supported phones by failing to make any mention whatsoever of the fact that flashing is required.

If you moved to Tello, the IMEIs are now with Tello. You don't have to remove them from RP. Just remove them from Tello by swapping them with dummy IMEIs on your Tello account.

It's limited by the how the firmware files work on the existing Android platform. One of the ways to bypass the carrier identifier in the firmware is to use ODIN, which is why you can mix and match the firmware files with ODIN.

I don't know about warranty, but you can always flash back to AT&T before claiming warranty. Easiest way to flash/restore back to stock AT&T is to use the Samsung Smart Switch software to restore, even works on bricked devices Big Grin

Best Buy sale prices on phones (Im interested in Google Pixel 2xl) - Can anyone confirm, can this be paid off without having to actually activate/use on Verizon, so I can use on Sprint BYOD? This was the case with Target sale recently, wondering if I can do at Best Buy.

I wanted my name to be hidden but my phone number to be shown for outgoing calls..I chatted with Sprint 2 days ago and they said they'll hide the name..But now it shows Private Caller. Again chatting with them and they say I can either show everything on caller ID or block everything..Is there no way to either change the name or just hide the name alone on caller id for outgoing calls with Sprint?
