Purchase iphone 6 unlocked in canada Part No MG3H2CL/A and later in the year i moved to USA. When my iphone developed problems Apple store replaced with new/refurbished phone with part number NG4W2LL/A. Last week when i tried to Port my number to Sprint Mobile, Sprint representative stated that model NG4W2LL/A doesnt support CDMA. I did try the IMEI number of MG3H2CL/A (from Original Box) and Sprint says it does support CDMA.

1) Are both parts identical and support CDMA ??
2) Did i get replaced with Only GSM model.

Apple support/Apple Store really dont care now ,because my iphone is no longer in warranty
1. No.
2. Yes.

How to get around of it?
If you are a new user, turn on VPN. Data speed will be impacted by VPN. If you are an advanced user, replace all Sprint proxy entries (at least three entries) with 0 or with proxy of your choice. Write down the Sprint proxies (you may need them later) because some Sprint specific features will not work without Sprint proxies.

Does anyone know which SIM card is compatible with Samsung Galaxy S7 and iPhone 6 Plus? SIMOLW506TQ and SIMOLW416Q?
The SIMOLW506TQ is a mystery. If you or anyone figured out which phone(s) that SIM works with, please share.

A lot of people get that SIM from Best Buy as a three-pack SIM kit. I have one sitting in the drawer and it does not work with any of the device I have tried.

I just wanted to share my appreciation for LiterallyUnlimited [reddit.com] and Ting. I had my Nexus 6, which was unlocked with Tello. I wanted to bring it to Sprint free plan. After releasing the phone from Tello, I could not make it eligible for Sprint plan because of the flag - I got the following error
Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device. Sign in to find this device on your account.
As per this thread, I contacted LiterallyUnlimited on Reddit. He said Tello had tried to get their technical service people to flip the flag as per https://www.reddit.com/r/ting/com...s/dr2st84/

and asked me to contact Tello first. He said that if Tello fails to do that, I can reach out to him again and he will do the needful. My interaction with Tello to say the least was not very pleasant. They were extremely curt in their response
All flag changes are done by Sprint directly, not in their physical locations as they will avoid to do this but you will have to reach Sprint directly in order to do this.

The phone is not attached to Tello in any way but the flag change has to be done by the new provider as they have the proposed tools to do so.
On the other hand, when I reached out to LiterallyUnlimited after this again,he flipped the flag instantly. The phone is showing as eligible now. He not only helped as a Ting representative but he even gave a chance to his competitor. I can certainly vouch for the response that I got in the end

That's directly contradictory to what they said in that link.
Rather than have you pin-pong between Tello and Sprint tech support (because Sprint will tell you that only Tello can fix it), I've gone ahead and flipped the database flag for you.
In future, when you need an MVNO, I recommend Ting. The whole company has people just like me who won't send you elsewhere for support unless we absolutely must.

Yes...
1. As long as the SIM is compatible with the device you intended to use.
2. As long as it clears FED (which is still a gray area and a mystery, search for my posts). Carrier (SIM) locked on the Essential is ok because you are still using it on the Sprint network.
3. As long as you can sign up for the Sprint BYOD 1-Year free account. Many people use spouse's, relative's, mistress's, etc. SSN or wait 45 days.

Seems like Unlocked variant, still if any expert can confirm. Also, under this promo, does Sprint allow International Unlocked versions?

I have some questions for anyone who might help:

1) Can I reuse an existing non-active sprint sim card (from cancelled sprint line within the last week) for this or am I required to buy a new one?

2) I have the sprint essential phone that is carrier locked to sprint. Can I use this device to start a new line on this BYOD plan?

I searched the thread, but couldn't find it among the zillion posts here, so thanks in advance to anyone for sharing this.
Not sure if it helps but I had a Sprint S7 Edge that I cancelled from a POST PAID Sprint account and was able to successfully activate it on the free plan after a week. I used the original SIM that came with the phone.

I bought the essential phone during the $5 lease program and paid off it to get unlocked but didn't stay for 50 days for legit unlock. If I open BYOD line using wife's name and use this phone on it, would it get relocked and never be able to unlock?

It is the unbranded (informally called "unlocked") US. version only as noted on the Sprint page for the whole list.
International versions are not in the rigidly-enforced and restrictive Sprint IMEI database and never can be activated on Sprint (unless you can get a store manager to add the IMEI to the database AND the phone has all the less-cpmmon Sprint bands including BC10 and band 41, both of which are unlikely).

For those that are looking for SIMs, as mentioned in the wiki. Go to Sprint corporate store and ask for one there. First store was out, but the second store gave me one without issue. The first store looked up the correct SIM card for me, but just didn't have it in stock. Both said they don't charge for SIM cards.
