Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Hey desi (and others): Happy Holidays! Smilie

What is the cheapest SIM for phone #, acct.pin complete on ebay that you found? Also, I assume these come with no $ in them. If you go this route, would you also be able to port in/out without adding funds? If any of you have an ebay listing that you found (or think might be) good for this, link also would be appreciated. Thanks! :-)
hello L Stevens. Happy H to you as well.

on ebay i searchd for key words scott suggested:

Quote from Scott.MI :
Search ebay for prepaid numbers for porting, they are about 5 to 6 bucks. and porting is quicker and easier than google voice.
again, this was to port into sprint on a new byod account.
there werent that many listings. and most were ~$5-6
the listing is only for:
1. telephone number
2. account number
3. pin number

all for porting (in) reasons only.
no sim
all digital

for porting out, i m guessing a tmboile $3 prepaid account...but again, i am not so sure of how that works...just yet...

or i can do what i did last time which is h20, pay $10 ransome to get account number and pine...but not yet sure..that will be part B

1. so u havent bought from ebay?...also u say cheaper that GV..isnt GV only $3?..never mind,..u say easier /quicker..

2. In your example of what u have actually done ...u needed name both times. that is what is concerning to me as the ebay listigs i looked at mentioned just the
3 numbers (tele, account, pin) that they would give you
Quote from Scott.MI :
1. No, I did not use eBay, I ported the numbers to TMobile as i was keeping the numbers.

2. I'm wondering if it matters what name you give Sprint to port from T-Mobile since it's prepaid and there is no billing or anything. If the pin is correct for the number porting it may not matter what name. Could always message the eBay seller about a name tied to the number
To port a number, you need proof of ownership. Usually phone number, acct. number (if different from phone number), and pin are sufficient for a prepaid number. They can ask for more info like name and address if this info is on file. The number from eBay sounds fishy and possibly illegal. I would not use it.

I have an iphone8+ that has never been on any network other than verizon on a monthly payment plan (not pre-paid) and applied to 1-year free BYOD and was told my device was eligible the first time around but was sent the wrong sim card for my iphone 8+. After this happened they sent me the correct sim card and now they are telling me my IMEI is showing that I owe a balance with Sprint/It is a lost device and is ineligible. What is going on, before when I checked with Sprint my device was eligible but now it's showing that it isn't after receiving the new sim card.

Just a note on T-Mobile: They used to allow account activation (if you had SIM) for free, but lately there have been rumors that they will require a credit card for activation (probably to stop false churn). If you DO need to pay (even on the $3 plan), there is a $10 minimum deposit.

port is complete.
all done in about 90 minutes. start to finish.

now...
part 2..port out of current 4 month old byod (main number)...but before that,,,considering going to best buy..opening new line as a paid line on current 4 month old byod account (mine)..getting g6 for 120 .paying off using *3..porting both lines to somewhere (not sure where yet)...then porting back 1 line to sposue account...letting g6 line expire..

Some TMO reps still allow you to fund it later. I usually just tell them my wife takes my CC and goes shopping, and I will fund it later when she comes home Big Grin If they say no, I just thank them and try for another rep later.

The t-mobile reps know you Macro, they don't believe you when you tell them you'll fund your account when your wife comes home later after shopping cuz they know she maxes out your card! Lol
