Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Sure - makes sense. Will try the imei and post the findings. Thanks!
BTW sometimes the IMEI is rejected for Sprint phones in the checker but it will still activate manually on the phone. I found that with the Dura XT.

I am 5 months into my 1 year plan. If I add a new line to my existing account, does the new line have a full 12 months of service? or is it based on the first line's start date?

Very good. By the way there is no such thing as a BYOD sim card. There are just Sprint sim cards. They never expire and are interchangeable between all Sprint subsidiaries and MVNO's and can and should always be reused. They never need to be replaced. However they do differ by device. There are about 30 different ones. Maybe that's what the origin of their confusion. It is really disgraceful how ignorant some of them are. There was no need for you to get a new sim card.

The only time you might need a new one is if the old one is still registered in an online device somewhere on the network. This can happen if you close an account but your MVNO leaves an inactive device in your account with that sim card listed in it. The proper way to fix that is to delete the dormant device and sim card.
Are you sure sim card can be reused?
It is CDMA only?

I thought GSM SIM card can not be reused??

Yes sprint SIM cards can be reused. Only carrier out of the big 4 that can. Done it myself.

Sure. By the way Sprint prepaid / Boost / Virgin phones are not allowed on postpaid generally. So if it is a Sprint phone it needs to be a Sprint postpaid model.
that makes me wonder if my old Ringlus phones that cleared Sprint FED (financial eligibility) would likely work on post paid since they aren't subsidized at that point. Probably not.

It is Sprint only.

You are right that GSM and Verizon sim cards cannot usually be reused (with some exceptions for Verizon).

What you say makes sense but they do not look at that way unless they were used on Boost or another direct subsidiary of Sprint for a full year. And even then you have to apply soecially in that case.

They do NOT honor the FED rukes that they apply for MVNO's.

I have tried!

Later added lines get the same end date as the first line.

thanks, I guess my phones aren't that special after all but they were cheap. I still use those $20 Tribute HD on Tello paygo. So not really unlocked and not really much use except for other MVNO.

Just to reiterate what's already been said, but yes Sprint SIMs can be re-used. I just re-used it for adding a new line and porting from PagePlus today.

Not to start a fight about sim cards, but sprint does have seperate BYOD sim cards. they are just like other sim cards but come with retail packaging instead of literally just the credit card looking thing.

Anyone having trouble activating a used/refurb phone? I bought 2 HTC A9 from amazon and sprint is telling me they cant be activated, but they are sprint phones so what gives?
