Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Damn, now I know why he did not come to my Winter WH New Year Party. You did not come either Desi was excused because he had love to make in Vegas. Masayoshi Son was here with his newfound robots love/adventure. Masayoshi said, "Screw Sprint, Marcelo better get my $$$ back or I will send my bots to get him."
can you invite Masayoshi to your Valentines hot tub party? i'll be there and i have a deal/proposal for him...

Oh good that sounds promising as long as it did not say Boost or Sprint Prepaid in the listing (or more acurately as long as Sprint does not identify it as being a Boost rmodel).

I am sure they checked the IMEI, so you should hopefully be fine.
Just wanted to update my situation for anyone that might be reading the thread.

Had already ported over google voice number with an iphone 6s. (so i already had an existing account from October)

Purchased TWO used Sprint HTC ONE A9's from Amazon. (I felt like they were the best phones on the list for the price $288 for the two)

Tried to add two lines with google voice numbers and activate the phones with BYOD sim cards, and sprint told me they needed to send me a different special sim card because of the phone. (i thought this was BS but upon arrival, i can confirm the sim card needed for the HTC ONE A9 is weird, i think it needed to be different because the phone supports GSM bands eventhough its a sprint phone)

When i received the sim, i was able to activate, port the google voice number. Was transferred to the porting department and they pushed the port through. So within 35 minutes of calling the sprint telsales number, I had two working HTC ONE A9's activated and on my
account Applause

Anyways if anyone needs help, or has questions, im willing to pass on my knowledge. this thread helped immensely. and the effort for calling in is worth the savings. Peace

I have a iphone 6 plus already in sprint free one year. If I port out the line and port back under my wife's ssn, could I use the same phone? Do I have to wait 45 days to release imei thing?
I ported lines out to T-Mobile without swapping devices, and the numbers and devices were eligible in less than 30 min. On one account I ported out 2 of the lines and then signed up 30 minutes later with new ssn.

I'm now done, 9 lines on 2 accounts have been ported out and back in for the extra 6 months.

Hi, I want to do the following to take advantage of additional 4 months of sprint service, based on posts from desi_babu_2010..Please let me know I lose everything due to greediness.

I am on BYOD 1 year free service ends in September 2018. My wife is on the same ends in Jan 2019.

1) I will port out my sprint number to Tmobile $3 plan. I already have Tmobile SIM card. I will get the account number and PIN from them.
2) Once it is complete, I will get added to my wife's sprint BYOD free account using the same my old sprint sim card. Not changing the phone. That way, I will also get my service free until Jan 2019.

Can all this happen on same day?

Great. Did you call the sprint number to add the line or you did yourself online?

1st account I had to call in to order sim cards as online credit check didn't go through. Second account I did entirely online. I did not reuse sim cards.

If it is a Sprint Postpaid-origin S5 you can activate it on this plan (subject to one additional step if it has been on an mvno) and then in 120 days you will be eligible for an upgrade at potentially decent prices IF THIS HAPPENS, OR learn how to manoever into a 3rd party deal that comes along... It is not necessary to try to evaluate now which of these will happen - but SOMETHING good is likely to come along if you buy yourself some time for now.

I myself am not too keen on the Motos that are often recommended but they could be ok.
Thanks for the reply. This is a Sprint phone, G900P, that I've had for years & I'm using on a Sprint MVNO. When I checked the Sprint site using the IMEI it said ineligible.

Yes you'll have to:
(1) Deactivate it on the MVNO
(2) Contact https://www.reddit.com/user/LiterallyUnlimited on Reddit (search this thread here for posts by him) and send him the IMEI and he will reset the ownership flag to Postpaid (from PLBL back to SPCS).

My plan expires July 2018, and just like what people have started doing on here, trying to extend and get another fresh 12 months of service. I have 5 lines on my ssn. Wife just closed her paid account a few days ago. I will attempt to use her ssn again before the month ends if for whatever reason sprint will let it pass (45 day thing for a ssn to be considered new account again). If not i will need to use a diff ssn cuz i have a feeling after January this is it. 1 year free promo will be done (just my feeling and of course i could be wrong).

once i have a ssn to use, can i port my numbers to Ting on their gsm (T Mobile) service since i have ting credits. Ting uses gsm (T mobile) and cdma (Sprint) networks. I know I would not want to use their cdma network because sprint will defintely not accept it.

worst comes to worst i'll use t mobile prepaid or att prepaid. i've used t mobile pre paid before and their customer service is awesome and i can get the account and pin number right away.

If you bought the iPhone 7's from tmo, they have intel modem and only good for gsm networks. You need the ones with qualcomm modem with cdma and gsm radios. You get these at apple store, best buy, target, (they are the sim free models).
Well I guess that's that. Just not worth the hassle at this point to unload my current iPhones only to order new ones. Thanks for clearing it up!

Yes, after you Port out, you can check the Sprint website to show when your number and device shows eligible. I ported out at night and called to add the lines the next morning but they will show eligible after 15 minutes or so. TMobile prepaid account number is the 10 digit telephone number with a 1 at the begining. (11 digits total) and you tell them what pin you want. I told them I was buying refill cards locally from a store.

Thanks for the info. iPad lines have phone numbers assigned because data is provisioned with a MDN/MIN on all tablet lines. Did you port over the iPad line or the phone line from Verizon?
Yes I ported over the phone a few days ago from Verizon. All is well on that. The iPad shared data

Sprint guy at Best Buy gave me the wrong SIM card for a iPad Pro 9.7. Same guy that gave me the right card for my iPhone a week ago.

The saga continues. I will try to get the right card today. iPad offer is over on 11th.
